Well, we don’t know about you, but that year certainly got away from us! What an epic one it has been! If 2015 was anything to go by, we can only expect that 2016 will be even bigger, better and more amazing! But before we get to January, let’s kiss this year goodbye in true Glam style. Here are all our fave events, dinners and parties that are on as you decide how you want to farewell 2015. Whether it by with lots of eating and drinking, fireworks and family fun or dancing the night away. Whatever your heart desires, we think we have it all covered…

If spending your new Year’s Eve with friends sipping on all of the bubbles and treating yourselves to a delicious feast tickles your fancy, then look no further. We’ve got the low down on some of the best food and drink packages for the festive night in SA. Plenty of our fave selected venues have got live music, so if the bubbly goes down well enough, you can dance yourself into 2016 like you’re in the next Bieber video clip… or maybe the next MC Hammer video…

Ginza Miyako Did somebody say delicious Asian food feast? We have our eye on the stunning menu that has been put together by Head Chef Kazu. It sounds totally mouth watering. From the Crab Chawamushi and the Scallop Sushi Roll to the Steamed Snapper Wrapped in Bamboo Leaves that features on the 8 course menu, we just want it all. You can choose between 5 courses for $100 per person or the 8 course for $135 per person. We know which one we want!

Glasshouse Dinner This gorgeous inner city location is coming in at the fabulous and low price of $60 for their NYE dinner. The Glasshouse will be serving up a delicious three course meal to get you going. How good is that?! There will be a cash bar to keep you travelling steadily into the new year.

Hilton Adelaide – Coal Cellar & Grill Enjoy a glass of bubbly upon your arrival, PLUS a divine cocktail from the experts at the Collins Bar. Then feast on no less than a SEVEN course meal for $190pp from 6pm. We’re hanging out for the Pan seared Clare Valley gold beef fillet, stuffed morels, truffled gnocchi and charred leeks. If you feel like avoiding the fuss at the end of the night, take advantage of their brilliant NYE accommodation specials.

Hoosegow Charcoal Restaurant – NYE Dinner and Flamenco 

Ole! Get your groove on as Hoosegow bring you a delicious three course set menu, a glass of bubbles on arrival and some seriously fun entertainment with dancers from Alma Flamenca, plus a flamenco guitarist. For just $99 per person this is an unmissable way to enter into 2016!  Bookings are essential.

Hotel Royal – Speakeasy NYE

Get your 20s vibe on at this speakeasy themed New Year’s Eve fiesta! Free (yes, free) entry, an a la carte menu and amazing drink specials, plus a $50 prize for the best dressed – this will be a cracking way to send off 2016! And just to mention some of the food on that menu, we have our eye on the Prawn Linguine with squid, mussels, anchovies, cherry tomatoes, napolitana sauce, fresh basil and of course, the Chocolate Marquise with Persian fairy floss, caramel sauce, hazelnut crumble. That sounds like a delicious way to enter the new year.

InterContinental Adelaide 

Shiki Restaurant at the InterContinental – New Year’s Eve Dinner If you’ve never experienced the fabulousness and luxury of Shiki this is the perfect opportunity. For $245pp. you’ll enjoy a breathtaking seven course Japanese feast and free flowing G H Mumm champagne. Sounds like heaven.

Riverside Restaurant at the InterContinental – New Year’s Eve Dinner Buffet This is one of the best spots to see the magical Riverbank Fireworks display, plus buffet dining? Yes please. The early sitting is 6pm-8pm at $145pp/ $70 child or choose the late sitting to get you closer to the big event from 9pm-11pm at $175pp/ $90 child. Drinks packages for the duration are just $40 or go premium for $80.

Madame Hanoi This will be a show stopper! The night is Moulin Rouge themed, with a prize for the best dressed. From 6pm-8pm you can enjoy Madame Hanoi’s famous ‘Let us Feed You’ menu. Shared food showcasing Asian French fusion dishes and a glass of bubbles on arrival for $85. If you’d prefer to party the night away choose the 8.30pm-late sitting. This will feature the new ‘Let us Spoil you’ menu. For $165 you’ll experience a deluxe (ooh la la) shared food menu and premium beverage package until midnight. There will also be live entertainment from 8.30pm so bring your dancing shoes.

Red Ochre Restaurant This has always been a premium Adelaide destinaton for food, but on the biggest night of the year, the bar will be lifted even higher! The meals here are all contemporary Australian style cuisine where the emphasis is on unique indigenous Australian ingredients. For $160 per person (All inclusive) sip on a fantastic beverage package then indulge in an entree platter, a choice of four mains, including our fave the Crispy Skinned Chicken Breast with goose mousse, corn puree, faro, charred shallots, asparagus and jus gra. And top it all off with a dessert trilogy. Yum!

Sean’s Kitchen If anyone can make New Year’s Eve the most delicious event possible, Sean can. Choose an early or late dinner and enjoy a specially selected set menu of Sean’s most loved dishes. The early sitting from 6pm – 8.30pm includes a three course menu for $95 per person. Or why not opt for the late sitting starting at 9.30pm and kicking on until 12am? It includes a glorious four course dinner, French bubbles at midnight and live entertainment – the perfect way to celebrate 2015 and see in 2016. $150 per person. There is also a three course children’s menu available during the early sitting only for $45 (children twelve and under).

Stamford Grand Glenelg 

The Promenade Restaurant at the Stamford Grand Glenelg  Seafood Buffet Dinner Finish 2015 with good company and great food at the Promenade. Watch the sun go down on the beautiful Glenelg beach and delight in the spectacular seafood feast the talented chefs have on offer. The early sitting is 6pm-8.30pm for $79pp (buffet only) or choose 9pm-12.30am for $129pp which includes a three hour beverage package! Little ones (5-12yrs) are just $65pp.

Stamford Grand Glenelg Angels and Demons Ball Whether you have been naughty or nice this year, say goodbye to 2015 and hello to the New Year in style with this stylish Angels and Demons themed party. Start off with canapés on arrival, a three course meal AND beverage package. Plus, of course, live entertainment to spice up the party. It’s just $179pp for this fabulous fiesta including a five and a half hour beverage package.

New Year’s Eve in La Boca Ring in the New Year with a delicious Argentinian feast! The three course menu will have you heading into 2016 with a belly full of scrummy food, plus you can indulge in a tipple or five with a three hour beverage package. If you feel like dancing all of that food off as midnight approaches then you can head into VIVA Nightclub because the ticket includes entry (see more info about this event in the ‘Party Central’ section below).

TG’s Restaurant New Year’s Eve Mediterranean Buffet If we haven’t made it clear yet, let us say it again, we love a buffet! Especially when it is a Mediterranean style buffet. Holy yum! Say hello to 2016 with tasty food, family and friends!

Windy Point We think it’s safe to say this spot has one of the most spectacular views in Adelaide, and of course food to match. What better way to celebrate in style than enjoying a five course degustation menu with beverages included at the stunning setting of Windy Point Restaurant. Alternatively, enjoy the evening in Windy Point Cafe (which is so much more than just a cafe) beginning in the outdoor pavilion and continuing with a three course meal and beverages all inclusive. Whichever level you choose that star spangled view with magical firework bursts across the night will be incredible.

Arkaba Hotel – The Incredibles New Year’s Eve Masquerade Extravaganza Get ready for the most incredible night of your life. Get into the spirit and wear a mask – whether it be simple or exotic, and reveal your identity to all at the strike of midnight! Count down the last hours of 2015 and bring in 2016 with The Incredibles band belting out the hits from 2015 along with your faves from the past. They’ll be mixing it up with DJ Jamie Thompson to make sure they have all your favourite tracks covered. Ticket price includes a free beer or bubbles on arrival.Tickets are $35 pre-sale or $45 on the day.

Grace Establishment NYE Party Did someone say paella and spit roast? Yep, the guys at The Grace did. They want you to have the best new year’s eve possible with delish food, access to all tap beer, Louis Bouillot French Sparkling AND sangria all night! Ole! With entertainment all night this will be a party to remember (if you can). Tickets are $120 per head.

Grand Bar New Year’s Eve Cancun Beach Party If you can’t make it to Cancun itself this NYE then this is the next best thing party goers! Of course the theme is Cancun (duh) so don your best ‘Summer in Mexico’ outfit (no thongs though, friends) and get ready to shake it. You’ll have a pretty wicked view of the famed Glenelg fireworks as you boogie away 2015. As you should all know the Bay can be exceptionally busy at this time of year so you’d be a fool to not pre-purchase your ticket. Just $20 pre-sale, or $30 on the door (if you’re willing to risk it)!

Intercontinental Adelaide Waves Bar Party Toast to new beginnings at Waves, with a glamorous party experience. Savour the company of your special someone as another year comes to a close, and take a journey down memory lane. General admin is $30pp or upgrade to a VIP pass for $50 with a glass of G H Mumm and a Barossa mini platter.

Republic This Eastern suburbs gem brings us two levels of live entertainment, great drink packages and plenty more! The perfect way to party your way in to 2016. three-piece party band, ‘The Shizzle,’ will be playing the best dance tunes to ensure partygoers groove their way in to the New Year…. There will be spectacular canapés and a lavish dessert bar to make sure you’re indulging your naughty side. They say you can dress up or come as you are but we say don’t be a party pooper, stick on some angel wings (or devil horns)! Go on. Just $110pp includes all food and a five and a half hour beverage package PLUS a cheeky glass of Champagne at midnight!

Stamford Plaza New Year’s Eve Wonderland Party Don’t be late for a very important date! The Terrace Ballroom at the Stamford Plaza will be transformed into a wonderland this New Year’s Eve. Head down the rabbit hole and into 2016 with a four course menu and six (yes SIX) hour beverage package. Plus there will be live entertainment to keep you dancing all night. Make the Mad Hatter proud and wear your most extravagant head piece! The Gov New Years Eve Latino Carnavale From 7pm it’s Carnival time! Dress tropical, Caribbean, masquerade, anything goes… the more colour, the better! Most important of all, make sure you pack your party feet. There will be live dance performances and, of course, time for you to practice your best Ricky Martin impersonation. Arrrrriba!

The Highway New Years Eve White Party It might not be a white Christmas but it will certainly be a white New Year! What better way to spend this balmy night than in a sea of white in a brilliant beer garden? The Stag Masquerade Party We don’t know about you, but we love a good masquerade party. Adelaide’s New Year’s Eve – Elder Park From 6pm enjoy one of Adelaide’s biggest firework displays and live performances. Plus it’s all free (the best price)! This year they will be setting off fireworks from the $40 million Torrens Footbridge for the first time. Eat your heart out Sydney!

Bollywood New Year Cruise Night Now this will be a unique experience! Fall in love with Bollywood on this New Year Cruise Night. Reporting at 8:30pm sharp to start the party at 9pm till 12:30am, cruise around with live DJs, amazing Indian food and watch the Adelaide fireworks at midnight from sea. The dress code is Indian Traditional / Formal so you can really immerse yourself in the culture. Tickets are $75pp Children 5-12 years and full time students (with ID) $49. No tickets will be available at the venue so make sure you prebook for this one!

Captain Cook Murray Princess Cruise Looking for something different? Why not hop on a four day cruise down the Murray to welcome 2016. Departing on Monday 28 December 2015, this cruise is seriously jam packed with awesome tours and events. You’ll visit historic Mannum, tour the vineyard and visit the cellar door at Burk Salter Boutique Winery, watch the Sunnydale Woolshed Show and go to the Native Wildlife Shelter, explore the Ngaut Ngaut Aboriginal Reserve archaeological sites with an expert local guide and many more activities. The big night will include a special New Year’s Eve dinner, festivities and dancing. Take in a stunning part of our State from the sun deck and sail into 2016.

Normanville New Year’s Eve Pageant If you’ve chosen to get away from it all and head to the beach this New Year, swing by the wonderful Normanville pageant. The pageant consists of a parade of approximately 40 colourful floats leaving Katherine Drive at 7.30pm sharp winding its way through the streets of Normanville and ending at the beautiful Normanville foreshore. Locals and tourists alike flock to the foreshore to be entertained by DJs , amusements, and of course to be fed by the local community clubs and groups. The night’s festivities are finalised with a fireworks display at around 9.45pm. The perfect event for the whole fam.

Strikers At Adelaide Oval Adelaide Oval will again be the place to be this New Year’s Eve, with the Adelaide Strikers hosting a blockbuster match in BBL|05. Adelaide Strikers will take on last season’s finalists, the Sydney Sixers on New Year’s Eve in an evening of fun and sporting excitement. Come see the rematch of last season’s semi-final when the visitors knocked the Strikers out. But we have no doubt that we will take back back that crown!
