The Ultimate Barossa Summer Food And Wine Celebration

With summertime fast approaching, the Barossa begins to experience longer days, balmy nights, and commands our focus to appreciate the whites and pinks of our region’s wine.

Us locals know the Barossa is beautiful all year around—whether the vineyards are aflame with the colours of autumn or the rolling hills are vibrant with springtime greenery—but how often do we really get to visit?

Introducing Barossa Seasons, a seasonal celebration of wine, food, and experiences and another excuse to visit one of the greatest wine regions in the country. With summertime fast approaching, the Barossa begins to experience longer days, balmy nights, and commands our focus to appreciate the whites and pinks of our region’s wine.

Barossa Seasons Summer is the ultimate summer weekend in the Barossa, filled with great wine, good food, and exciting times. It’s all about getting together with friends and enjoying the good things in life.

The events take place from January 11 to 13 and involve Riesling and Semillon, local ales and gin, to smoked meats, tropical feasts, and chilled out music sessions, it’s all right there waiting for you over one big weekend.

Craving a summer getaway (but can’t really afford to go anywhere overseas)? Chateau Yaldara are bringing the tropical getaway to you with a Hawaiian Luau. Leis and a glass of Hawaiian punch on arrival? A three-course Hawaiian feast? Count us in! This weekend escape takes place on Sunday 13 January and you can grab your tix here.

Keen for something a little more toned down? Head on over to Lindsey Wine Estate Sunday 13 January to celebrate the artistry of wine, visual arts, music, and food. Visual artists will make their art available for purchase throughout the cellar door, Crackle & Pop Records will be selling some of their best vinyl, while The Captain is once again in charge of our listening pleasure. Tasty eats by Barossa Street Food and what’s a Sunday sesh without a sangria…? (Best of all, this event is family-friendly and totally free!)

Discover some of the best South Australian live music while sipping only the best Barossa wines at Ubertas Wines, indulge in a delicious frosé and summer sliders at Rosenvale Vineyards, or get involved in the first ever pub garden picnic. None of those tickle your fancy? Check out the full events page at www.barossagourmet.com.
