The Vale Polo Classic is back for 2022 with some fun new additions

The popular event is heading back to McLaren Vale for a day of glitz and glamour along with the best food and wine from the region

The Vale Polo Classic returns to McLaren Vale in 2022 with more bars, more food and more fun.

Event Director, Luke Schapel says: “We are thrilled to present the next instalment in a series of regional polo events. With easing restrictions, events like Vale Polo can proceed bigger and better than ever before.”

Scheduled for this Saturday April 2nd, Vale Polo will be the biggest pitchside party yet – with a 500-person dancefloor and DJs until 9PM.

Guest areas include the family-friendly general admission, Club McLaren the pitch-side polo party and the G.H. Mumm VIP Marquee for a bespoke experience.

There are a few changes and additions to this years event as well which is sure to add to the fun!

Starting with the polo itself, 2022 will see the SA Polo Association host two fast-paced, 20/20 style polo matches over the afternoon featuring the very best national polo talent.

There will also be the opportunity to sample some of McLaren Vale’s finest produce with the ‘McLaren Vale & Fleurieu Coast Cellar Door Precinct’ boasting over 15 McLaren Vale wineries and producers. Sponsored by the City of Onkaparinga, you can truly soak up the atmosphere of this special area by not just sampling the local wine but also getting to know the makers and the people behind the vines.

The party pitchside aka Club McLaren is your beautifully styled, upscale area which will feature bars from Malfy Gin and Peroni, it’s own DJ and dancefloor and food from local faves Pizzateca and Cucina de Strada. This marquee is ticketed so if you want to live the high life, make sure you select this option when purchasing.

Mind you, you’ll still have a great day with a General Admission ticket. Guests are invited to bring along picnic rugs, chairs, food – whatever you need to make your day at the polo as enjoyable as possible! (Just note that alcohol isn’t permitted – there’ll be plenty of that already available)

And as always, make sure you dress to impress as the judges for the Fashion on the Field competition will be doing their bit to award the best-dressed attendees with prizes thanks to their partner Keepsake the label.

Being in McLaren Vale, there are multiple transport options available including buses from The Maid Hotel and Highway Hotel in Adelaide.

The Vale Polo Cup takes place this Saturday 2nd April
