The vivid Bauble Canopy displays are back in the CBD

Returning to the East and West End, two eye-catching light displays by Sydney-based art studio, Atelier Sisu, have arrived for a short time.

With Christmas around the corner, twinkling lights are popping up all over but a different type of light display has hit the CBD that is wowing passers-by.

Returning to the East and West End, two eye-catching displays by Sydney-based art studio, Atelier Sisu, are hanging high in the sky, bringing colour and light to the earth below with the changing sun.

The 50 purple and blue coloured spheres change through the day and light up at night creating a vibratn display of colour.

Back by popular demand for the second year in a row, the Bubble Bauble Canopies are laneway projects from the design company in collaboration with the Adelaide City Council and can be seen on Vaughn Place off Rundle Street and Peel Street.

Atelier Sisu is a Sydney-based design studio lead by award-winning artists Renzo B. Larriviere and Zara Pasfield, who work on creating experiential environments, installations and sculptures across the country.

With an interest in the collaboration of art and architecture, their work is described as being within the unique medium of ‘art-chitecture’, with public art as their strongest focus.

Endeavouring to be visually engaging and intellectually elegant in nature, this latest project sees around seventy large sized baubles, suspended above the lane that reflects the different light through the changing times in the day.
