The Voice, Idol and Got Talent stars unite for nostalgic Bee Gees & Celine Dion show at The Regal Theatre

A powerhouse trio of Australian performers are joining forces for Immortality: The Best of Bee Gees & Celine Dion, a spectacular live tribute coming to The Regal Theatre this November.

If powerhouse vocals, big hits and nostalgia sound like your thing, then you’re going to want to get ready for the latest show lighting up The Regal Theatre. ‘Immortality – The Best of Bee Gees & Celine Dion’ is heading to the eastern suburbs on Friday, November 14th, as part of the Adelaide Feast Festival, bringing the best of these artists to life on stage.

Few shine quite as bright as Celine Dion, and few songwriters have defined pop history quite like the Bee Gees. Now, three of Australia’s top voices are bringing their legacies together in one electrifying show. The Voice 2023 winner Tarryn Stokes, Australian Idol champion Kate DeAraugo, and Australia’s Got Talent star Greg Gould are leading this spectacular two-hour celebration, backed by a live band stacked with the country’s top musicians.

“I put it together because I’m a huge fan of Celine Dion,” shared singer and producer, Greg Gould. “Tarryn and I had talked for a while about doing a show together, and I thought – no one that I know can sing Celine like Tarryn can so… Let’s do it!

“Tarryn Stokes won The Voice a few years back and had that huge moment performing All By Myself by Celine Dion. I was thinking about what would complement Celine Dion, and as I was digging through the collection, I realised the Bee Gees not only wrote a song for Celine but actually performed it with her, called Immortality. I’ve always loved that song, so it was a no-brainer.”

Greg says the cast came together perfectly once Kate came on board.

“Then my friend Kate DeAraugo called me up and said, ‘I really want to do a show with you this year.’ I told her I wasn’t sure I had the capacity for another one, but I said, ‘Why don’t you jump on this one?’ She and Tarryn are good friends too, so it was perfect,” said Greg. “We’re not Celine, we’re not the Bee Gees, we’re just three artists who love their music and want to celebrate it.”

This star-studded cast will transport audiences through a hit-filled journey spanning eras and emotions. Expect everything from the Bee Gees’ disco anthems like Stayin’ Alive, You Should Be Dancing, and Night Fever, to their songwriting triumphs Islands In The Stream and Woman In Love. Then, brace for the soaring vocals and spine-tingling emotion of Celine Dion classics like My Heart Will Go On, Because You Loved Me, and The Prayer.

“It’s definitely musical, it’s the songs you know and love. Some of them we’ve reimagined a little bit, stripped back the production to let the emotion shine through. Others, we give you exactly what you know and love.”

Greg has been leading the show since the beginning, curating the show to be perfectly suited to his fellow castmates and himself.

“I’ve been involved from the get-go, and the girls have been really hands-on as well. I’ve written the show to suit each of them as individual artists. Kate, Tarryn, and I are all very different performers, so I wanted each of them to have their moment to shine.”

The show has mixed the music in together in a really organic way, flowing between the Bee Gees and Celine. It’s all about what these songs mean the artists, while they get to show a bit of themselves, and what makes them so talented, to the crowd.

“You’re not going to see anything quite like this again,” said Greg. “These voices, these interpretations, it’s really special. You’ve got the winner of Australian Idol, the runner-up of Australia’s Got Talent, and the winner of The Voice all in one show. Where else can you see that?”

You can catch the show in all its glory on Friday, November 14th at The Regal Theatre.
