The Wau Wau Sisters are back in Adelaide with more of their own special brand of sibling ribaldry. They drew on their experiences from last year, when Qantas managed to lose every bit of their luggage, as an underlying theme for this production. Beginning the show naked, they splash about in an inflatable paddling pool then cover themselves in glitter and proceed to perform sans des vêtements until some their luggage finally arrives. When it does turn up it is incomplete, leaving them with only limited costumes.

Donning their cowgirl costumes and picking up their guitars we are treated to some of those wickedly funny Country and Western songs that only these two performers can possibly get away with. We discover what a close and sharing family they have, in explicit detail.

They eventually head back to their suitcases, only to find that the next costume change is missing. They decide that it is time to enlist the help of a couple of unsuspecting men from the audience. What transpires next is as risky as it is risqué and keeps the audience belly-laughing throughout, but you will just have to buy a ticket to find out what I mean by that. They don’t push the boundaries, they shatter them.

More songs and more laughs follow and the performance ends with some of their trademark duo trapeze work, drawing ‘oohs’ and ‘ahs’ and lots of applause. These girls don’t just have the wow factor, they are the Wau factor!

If you have seen this madcap pair before then you probably already have your tickets but, if you haven’t had that pleasure, now is your chance to spend a late night hour with them. These darlings of the Adelaide Fringe have a big following, though, so don’t delay because they are bound to sell out quickly.
