The West Thebarton Cocktail Trail is tomorrow, here’s what to expect

The West Thebarton Cocktail Trail is happening tomorrow and will take you through four fantastic, independently owned distilleries and breweries!

The West Thebarton Cocktail Trail is happening tomorrow Saturday October 19th from noon until late. This self-guided walking trail will take you through four fantastic, independently owned distilleries and breweries all in Thebarton. There will be live music, cocktails, and delicious local eats as you make your way from Happenstance Distillery to Imperial Measures Distilling, Brightstar Brewing, and Ambra Spirits Distillery.

The journey begins at Happenstance Distillery, where you’ll try their famous Sour Cherry Liqueur which is a seasonal favourite that helped launch the distillery. Happenstance recommends trying their Sour Cherry Spritz, which is a refreshing concoction of cherry, lime, Prosecco, and soda. If you’re looking to take something home, the flagship Happenstance Gin is perfect for a classic G&T, or any cocktail.

If you’re feeling hungry, Happenstance will have some fancy pork and sour cherry snags for $10, or some epic mushroom sliders drizzled with truffle mustard where you can get two for $12.

Next, you’ll head over to Imperial Measures Distilling, where the crowd-favourite Ounce Gin ‘Signature’ reigns supreme, served with tonic and fresh orange. Try the Watermelon Cooler, which is a mix of Ounce Gin ‘Bright’, fresh watermelon juice, and lime that screams summer. And if you love what you taste, take home a bottle along with a complimentary four-pack of Fever-Tree mixers.

Imperial Measures will be serving up its famous burgers for food, each of which comes with chips. They’ll have the cult-favourite smash burger, a haloumi burger, or vegan burger – each priced at $18.

Then it’s on to Brightstar Brewing, known for its Helles brew, which is a light, crisp beer that’s a true classic. They recommend trying the Heavenly Nectar cocktail, featuring Brightstar Witbier, elderflower syrup, Brightstar Gin, and a splash of grapefruit and lime juice. You can even grab a mixed 12-pack of their favourite brews, including Helles, Czech Pilsener, Schwarzbier, and Berliner Weisse.

And if you’re feeling peckish, Brightstar has you covered with antipasto boards for $32, along with hearty options like the Reuben sando for $15 and a pulled pork burger with fries for $25.

Finally, make your way to Ambra Spirits Distillery, where the bright and zesty Limoncello is made from hand-peeled, locally sourced lemons. The must-try is their Ambra Limoncello Spritz or the Frozen Hard Lemonade to cool off. Plus, join ‘Club Ambra’ for a sweet 20% discount on all bottle sales.

For food, you can enjoy hoagie sandwiches that celebrate classic Italian flavours, priced at $24. Choose from a bolognese, a salumi, or a chargrilled veggie option.

Ambra Spirits Distillery

Throughout the day, there will be an amazing lineup of local South Australian artists playing. Jam out at Happenstance from 12pm to 9:30pm, while Imperial will have live tunes from 2pm to 8pm. Brightstar Brewing will keep the party going with music from 1pm to 10pm, and Ambra Spirits will have more sounds from 12pm to 9:30pm.

Get your friends together, put on some comfy shoes that you can walk and dance in, and get ready for the West Thebarton Cocktail Trail tomorrow, Saturday October 19th. It’s a celebration of craft, culture, and community, and the best part is that it’s free to attend!
