While it may not be in their big red car, the Wiggles are on their way to SA for their almost sold-out shows across the state from the 15th to the 22nd of April.
Following their runaway success in 2022, including winning the coveted ARIA Award for ‘Best Australian Live Act’, the Wiggles are taking their Hello! We’re The Wiggles tour around the country.
When they touch down in SA, they’ll be heading to the Adelaide city, then Noarlunga and then a range of other neighbourhoods around the state.
For over three decades, The Wiggles have toured the world delighting millions of fans.
The band was formed in 1991 when founder, Anthony Field, had the idea to make a children’s album. The original line-up was Anthony Field, Murray Cook, Greg Page whom Anthony met at university studying teaching & early childhood, Jeff Fatt a fellow musician from The Cockroaches and classical music composer Phillip Wilcher.
The new exciting line-up for this tour includes fresh faces as well.
On tour in SA people wil see Anthony, Tsehay, Simon, Lachy, Caterina, Lucia, and John who will be joined on stage by everyone’s favourite characters including Captain Feathersword, Dorothy the Dinosaur, Wags the Dog, Henry the Octopus, Shirley Shawn the Unicorn and Bok the Hand Puppet.
Their new musical story-based series, “Ready, Steady, Wiggle”, comprises 26 exciting 11-minute episodes featuring brand new songs alongside Wiggles classics.
At the concert people will hear, ‘Do the Propeller!’, ‘Hot Potato’ and ‘Rock-a-Bye Your Bear’ plus new favourites that will have everyone up and dancing along such as ‘We’re All Fruit Salad’, ‘Getting Strong!’ with John and feel the sunflower power with ‘Hey Tsehay!’
According to the Advertiser, despite not having much time in their jam packed schedules, some of The Wiggles cast members will head to the Port Adelaide v Western Bulldogs game on Saturday as part of the Gather Round after their sold out performances.
The Wiggles will perform four shows at Thebarton Theatre across Saturday April 15 and Sunday April 16 before heading to Noarlunga to perform three shows on Tuesday. On Wednesday the Wiggles will be at Gawler for three shows, with the final show still having some tickets available.
Norwood will welcome the Wiggles on Thursday the 20th of April for two shows at the Norwood Concert Hall before they head regionally to Renmark on Saturday April 22nd, where tickets are still available.
