Everyone’s favourite dancing mouse is back with another show to delight her young fans. Camembert Academy of Dance has been asked to do a live TV broadcast and whom could Ms Mimi pick to organise and choreograph but Angelina. With the help of best friend Alice and fellow students Viki, Gracie, Marco and AJ they work their way through the problems of designing costumes and coming up with a theme. Each of the characters is recognisable from their TV show and books. With their show Ballet Girls and Hip Hop Boys they get the audience dancing.

The performers did a great job of involving the many small ballerinas in the audience and seemed to appeal to the many young male dance fans as much as the girls. The bright and practical set was a delight as were the very colourful costumes. The energetic performance had no problem keeping the attention of the audience, some of the smaller members were mesmerised. Producer Nick Brooke Brought this fun production to Australia, Miranda Larson (the writer/director) and choreographer Matthew Cole should be congratulated for getting the balance right and engaging their audience so successfully. Also the music, written by Barrie Bignold, is cheerful and catchy.

This is certainly a wonderful outing for any small child with dance aspirations!
