The rigorous testing regime on the Thebarton cluster has been fruitful with what is said to be majority negative results.
South Australia’s Minister for Health, Stephen Wade has provided an early update on the Thebarton cluster’s 94 close contacts, stating that the initial COVID-19 tests for close contacts have returned with negative results.
“Almost all of the test results, I am advised, have come back and none of them have been positive,” he says.
Confirmation for all outstanding test will be revealed very soon, he says.
The 94 will still be tested again on day 12, two days before their quarantine ends, which will fall later this week.
SA Police are currently performing compliance checks on the close contacts currently quarantining in the medi-hotel and the 1000 plus casual contacts from Thebarton Senior College.
Compliance rates are reported to be in the high 90s.
A more comprehensive update on the Thebarton cluster and today’s COVID-19 update will be provided later today.
More to come.
