About an hour’s drive to the South from the city centre and you’re almost in another world. Quaint, rustic and unencumbered by the bustle of the CBD.
It’s no surprise that soon-to-be-wed couples opt to go further out of the city for their magical wedding and because of that, there has been a rise in boutique wedding venues.
River’s End Retreat is one of these.
Overlooking the Murray River and Hindmarsh Island in the background, the retreat boasts pretty spectacular waterfront views (and a cracking sunset).
The retreat itself is a recently renovated, historic retreat with 5 spacious guest rooms a large dining area, various outdoor sections that are perfect for hosting guests.
River’s End is owned by Jamie and Trudy Bishop, third generation owners of the residence and impeccable hosts. Food, accommodation and every need is taken care of by the duo.
The gorgeous wedding shoot depicting models Jesse Saunderson and Kate Lomman was done by Adelaide photographer, Evan Bailey.
The photoshoot was done in collaboration with White Orchid Events Adelaide, flowers by Flowers of Envy Florist, signage by Little Neon Boutique, the gorgeous dress is by She Sew Alterations and makeup was by Alex Hinge MUA.
