There’s A Two-Day Lantern Festival Happening In Hahndorf

The two-day festival will be held from Friday 23 August to Saturday 24 August and will focus predominantly on lantern parades, live music and food.

Local Adelaidians, it is time to rejoice.

The annual Hahndorf Winter Lantern Festival is returning for its fifth year.

The two-day festival will be held from Friday 23 August to Saturday 24 August and will focus predominantly on lantern parades, live music and food.

The opening night will feature a ‘Lantern Lit Concert’ with live music by Allye Sinclaire and The Inkling Quartet, a group of well-renowned professional Adelaide musicians.

The opening night performance is set to kick off at 7pm. With only 200 seats available, bookings are essential.

Many handmade lanterns from local school children will be on display, along with local artists’ constructions of giant lanterns.

Festival-goers can also expect a lantern parade featuring approximately 200 lanterns, as well as activities for kids, lantern workshops, live music and food stalls.

The festival is set to begin at 7pm on Friday 23 August and will last though to Saturday evening.
