The Wonderwalls Festival is a street art festival spanning across three days that will fill every nook and cranny we have to offer down at the Port with the works of over twenty outstanding artists. You can join in on guided tours, photography classes, workshops, artist talks and, not one, but two spectacular street parties (including DJs, food trucks and drinks from the Fruitful Pursuit.)
While you’re immersing yourself in art check out what local artist, Samantha Tipler, has filled the walls and the character-filled cellar of the British Hotel with colourful, abstract paintings for her exhibition, Zest. The British Hotel has been recently refurbished, creating a space that’s a work of art in itself. It is light and airy, perfect for showcasing Samantha’s large, bright pieces.
“I love being inspired by the colours and patterns in nature, then I bring my own twist to the paintings through layers and texture, building each piece up to create its own personality and energy.”
Growing up in the Western suburb of Henley Beach, Samantha has been surrounded by the most beautiful scenery and has taken immense inspiration from beach walks and sunsets.
Open every day from 10am, visitors are welcome any time and encouraged to walk around and view the paintings.
