August 26 is International Dog Day and South Australian based charity Paws for Change knows just how to celebrate.
Together with Australian lifestyle brand Damselfly, they have released an exclusive candle range, with 100% of proceeds supporting and raising awareness for dogs around the world living in inadequate conditions.
The soy-based candles are available in irresistible Inca and Luna scents, and come with one of two quirky quotes: ‘The more people I meet, the more I love my dog’ and ‘I just want to drink wine and save dogs.’
Paws For Change founder Annie Leo says that International Dog Day is the perfect time to raise awareness about the number of dogs who are sick, injured, mistreated, abandoned or are homeless around the world.
“My charity is determined to help more dogs find loving, FUR-ever homes, to rehabilitate and re-home dogs rescued from abuse, injury and neglect, while also working with local groups to run educational programs and vital vet work to teach animal welfare and responsible pet ownership.
“I am so excited to be collaborating with Damselfly in an exclusive line of candles which make a gorgeous gift for someone or yourself, whilst still doing something good for the dog community and supporting our local economy at the same time,” Annie says.
With a 60 hour burn time, the 300gm candles would make a great gift, whilst celebrating your four-legged friends and supporting Paws for Change.
