These Lamington Waffles Will Only Be Available This Long Weekend

The dish features two Belgium waffles, dunked in chocolate and coated in desiccated coconut like a lamington.

Any self respecting brunchie will have visited Commissary for their eye-catching, mouth-watering, and belly-filling dishes at least once — but we’ve just found a reason for you to visit this long weekend in particular.

Lamington waffles.

No, we’re not joking. Feast your eyes on this gloriousness.

This creation is quite literally the amalgamation of every wonderful dream we’ve ever had fused with a classic, Aussie icon.

The dish features two Belgium waffles, dunked in chocolate and coated in desiccated coconut like a lamington. Sandwiched between the two waffles is strawberry jam, vanilla ice cream, vanilla bean cream. It sits atop a bed of chocolate fudge and strawberry sauce and is dusted with milo. Perfect.

Getting your hands on this baby will set you back $19, but we have literally no doubt you’ve never experienced something like this before.

Plus, it’s only available this long weekend only, so if you just gotta know whether the Aussie lamington works as a waffle, now is your only chance.

You can find Commissary at 160 Fullarton Rd, Rose Park SA 5067 open from 8am to 3pm this Saturday and Sunday, as well as 7:30am to 3pm on the Monday.
