Thirsty Merc’s CELEBRATION tour coming to Adelaide this September

Australian rock band Thirsty Merc will be performing its new album in Adelaide for one night only on 8 September 2022 at The Gov.

Australian rock band Thirsty Merc – well known for tracks like In The Summertime and 20 Good Reasons – has just announced a brand new album and Australian tour.

This is the first two in two years that the band have been able to get back on the road, performing their much-loved hits alongside brand new songs from their album CELEBRATION, which releases on 17 June.

“It’s been an extremely rewarding experience for us to explore some of the best Aussie songs on the new album. Perhaps the biggest celebration, though, is for all live music fans,” says Frontman Rai Thistlethwayte.

“After a few crazy years, we’re all still here together. Gigs are back… and we want to be there to help you let your hair down!”

Thirsty Merc will be performing in Adelaide for one night only on 8 September 2022 at The Gov.

CELEBRATION will feature Thirsty Merc originals, as well as some reimagined Aussie ballads like Daryl Braithwaite’s ‘As The Days Go By’. Other covers include Who Listens To The Radio (The Sports), That’s When I Think of You (1927), Bad Habits (Billy Field) and Hey There, Georgie Girl (The Seekers).

All of these songs and new tracks will be performed in the new tour. Starting in WA, Thirsty Merc will move across a bunch of regional and capital cities.

The band will no doubt put on a cracker show, after releasing four critically acclaimed albums, receiving five ARIA Award nominations, earning over 250,000 album sales, and becoming a finalist in the APRA Song of the Year for 20 Good Reasons (which also reached #1 on iTunes in Australia).
