This Adelaide Bar Has The Most Mouth-Watering Toastie Menu

This Vardon Avenue bar has a super eclectic toastie menu featuring salty and sweet variations.

Many know that Vardon Avenue’s El Cheeky Flamingo is packed with juicy wines, fruity cocktails and international rums.

What many people do not know is that it is also the home of an extensive toastie and jaffle menu (of the salty and sweet variations).

Their deliciously dark tropical decor feels like the ultimate sweet escape on nights out and adds to the vibe of ‘Miami meets Adelaide.’ It is also the perfect location for tearing down toasties and jaffles in your mouth.

We have had a look over the new toasties and jaffles menu and thought we should share some highlights with you.

Firstly lets mention the ‘3 cheese please!!’ Think Tasty cheese, Swiss cheese, American cheddar with spring onions and American mustard on perrymans bread.

The ‘Confucius says’ toastie has ginger shiitake mushrooms, kimchi, pickled carrots, cucumber, beetroot & miso mayo with coriander 

If you’re looking for a vegan toastie, then the ‘Caio Bella’ is your best bet. Think char roasted peppers, caramelised onions, mushroom and sage patê, truffle and garlic mayo with baby spinach.

There’s also a creamy mac’n’cheese with bacon jaffle called ‘My Caroni’ (umm, yes!)

But it doesn’t stop there. Desert Toasties and Jaffles are also on the menu.

The ‘Naughty but Nice’ (jaffle) has nutella, strawberries, banana on Swiss dark rye bread drizzle over with Hersheys chocolate sauce and dusted with icing sugar.

There’s also the ‘The Elvis Presley’ (toasty) with peanut butter, banana, strawberry jam drizzle of honey on perrymans bread.
