Here at Glam, we’re pretty big donut fans. World Donut Day elicited great excitement from the team, as does any mention of a fancy or particularly delicious looking dessert.
Recently, we came across an image of a rather adorable, whale-shaped donut. The signature creation of Ocean Street Bakery in Victor Harbor, this donut is chockablock full of cream, iced with chocolate, and topped with Maltesers. After a little more research, we discovered that said whale is the ‘Whale Of The Month,’ aka the ‘June Whale’, aka the ‘Malteser Whale’ at the beachside bakery.
Whale-shaped donuts also come coated with lollies, with white icing, or glazed salted caramel. Prices range from $2.60 to $4, depending on the donut selected.
