This year, thousands of people are expected to attend the ANZAC Dawn Service at the South Australian National War Memorial. This time of year, it can be quite chilly, as the weather turns to Autumn, so following on from the service, the search begins for hot coffee and a hearty breakfast. Then there’s the ANZAC Day parade, and a visit to the Union Hotel Anzac Day Street Party to continue the tradition.
A short walk from the National War Memorial you’ll be able to tick a few boxes after the Dawn Service, with First Restaurant, located on Level 1 of Hotel Richmond, holding its annual Anzac Day Breakfast.
Opening early to cater for those out and about for the Dawn Service, First Restaurant is offering an a-la-carte menu, and while you don’t have to book, if you do get organised and plan ahead, First Hotel Richmond are offering free tea and coffee for guests who pre-book.
As per the hotel’s Anzac Day tradition, they’ll be giving the first 25 people who ask, a free cheeky splash of rum in their coffee.
After the first 25 guests, a ‘splash’ added to your coffee will be just $4.
First is open from 8am – 3pm with their breakfast and lunch menu available all day.
