This Is The Inner City Christmas Market To Watch Out For

The Leigh St Christmas Markets are combining some of the best local stall holders with the iconic inner city alley.

Christmas is creeping around the corner and whilst that might not that we’re going t experience a wintery wonderland like those in Europe, it does mean that popping up around Adelaide will be a host of Christmas Markets.

One that we’re especially excited for is the Leigh St Christmas Markets which will combine some of the best local stallholders with the iconic inner city alley.

The focus is on locally-sourced items that make perfect unique ideas for the gifting season. This ranges with anything from handmade jewellery repurposed from broken china to custom handmade teepees.

The markets will take place every Saturday from November 10 until December 15 and we’ve got some standouts coming for the first one.

Gioialleria creates contemporary artisan jewellery. Working with sterling silver, natural wood and modern finishes like resin, the pieces are fresh, unique and wearable works of art.

Planted Vessels will be there to supply you with terrariums and plant art creating greenery in your home or workspace.

There’ll be lots to eat too with stalls from trusted sources Cos 18 Leigh and Casablabla, Baker’s Galore for every cupcake dream you could ever have. But if you want something a bit heftier then opt for Juans Paella, with their authentic Spanish treats.

Temple Bruer Wines will be there with their well-known vegan wines. There’ll also be fresh cold-pressed juice from Nuclear Juices for the kids.

Leigh Street Markets are supported by Snap and the Adelaide West End Association, and they’re teaming up with the Hutt St Centre who will have a stall where they’ll be explaining just what they do to combat homelessness.

Ultimately, it wouldn’t be Christmas without a tree! The one at the markets gives you the opportunity to donate gifts, food and blankets to the Centre.

It’s a family event for sure, but if bringing the brood over is giving you anxiety, you’ll be happy to know that there is a creche available at Rigoni’s Bistro for you to drop your kids at whilst you calmly stall-hop and enjoy a drop.

The creche can be booked ahead of time through here. Whilst they also take on-the-day hourly admissions depending on availability, we recommend that you jump on it because spots can fill up fast.

For the period that the markets are taking place on Leigh St, Rigoni’s Bistro will also be giving you the option to opt for a $2 tax deductible donation that’ll be transferred to the markets.
