Three Little Birds set to enchant Auburn with new gin tasting room

Three Little Birds, the esteemed South Australian distillery is expanded and opening a new gin tasting room in Auburn.

Exciting news is brewing in Auburn as Three Little Birds, the esteemed South Australian distillery owned by Leigh Brown and Lisa-Marie Gordon, prepares to spread its wings with a brand-new tasting room opening next month.

With a focus on showcasing their exceptional gins, Three Little Birds is set to bring a unique and captivating tasting experience to locals and visitors alike.

This expansion comes in partnership with Ulster Park Wines, a family-owned wine group. They acquired a property on Auburn’s main street, transforming it into an inviting oasis for wine enthusiasts. With meticulous attention to detail, they have revitalised the space, re-doing the landscaping, adding ramps for accessibility, and enhancing the front lawn area, which will serve as a delightful gathering spot for food trucks and live music events.

Three Little Birds initially ventured to the property for the renowned Clare Valley Gourmet Week and fell in love with the space. This experience convinced them to establish a permanent presence in Auburn, situated on the vibrant main street next to the iconic Rising Sun Hotel.

“We have a Shiraz Gin which uses Clare Valley grapes and we’re about to release a Riesling Gin that does too, so we feel like we’re a part of the area and it’s a natural progressions for us to be there,” Leigh Brown, co-owner of Three Little Birds says.

The new tasting room will cater to gin enthusiasts, offering an impressive array of gin flights featuring Three Little Birds’ unique and handcrafted gins.

Patrons can also indulge in expertly crafted cocktails and savour refreshing gin and tonics, all meticulously prepared using the distillery’s premium spirits. The inside space is cosy and intimate, accommodating up to 10 people for a tasting.

Guests can also enjoy the inviting front lawn area, complete with tables, chairs, and a charming verandah.

“There’s only one other gin distillery there, so there’s room in the market. Plus, if the response from the locals during Clare Valley Gourmet Week is anything to go by, it will be well loved,” Leigh says.

The new tasting room not only provides an exciting opportunity for Three Little Birds but also benefits their original location in Mile End. The influx of visitors from Adelaide and international tourists will help raise awareness of the distillery’s offerings and expose their Mile End tasting room to a broader audience.

In addition to the tasting room experience, Three Little Birds and Ulster Park Wines have plans to host a variety of events and collaborations.

Long weekends will be a special treat, featuring food trucks and the possibility of grand gin masterclasses on the expansive lawn area. The collaboration will also extend to participation in notable events such as the Frenchfest and Clare Valley Gourmet Weekend.

As the anticipated opening of Three Little Birds’ new tasting room draws near, the Auburn community eagerly awaits the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of gin and celebrate the craftsmanship of this exceptional South Australian distillery.
