Selling out with little to no word to the public is a testament to how intriguing and popular a vegan event can be. Vegustation, the fine dining vegan experience pairing completely plant based cuisine with locally distilled gin, is just that.
Organised by the team behind the hugely popular Vegan Festival and Gincident, and slated for October, Vegustation will feature the talents of Francesco’s Cicchetti catering in a six course tasting menu alongside a glass of Prohibition Gin.
Taking place in Prohibition Gin’s ultra cool Gilbert Street warehouse, this event is a foodie dream. Described as expanding on the rustic Venitican flavours from last year, the menu sets out to prove that vegan cuisine can be extremely tantalising.
The evening will be hosted by one of the festival’s favourite celebrity Chef (& comedians in the rising), Mr Zacchary Bird. The tasting bar will be open throughout the night so the extensive gin and SA wine drinks list is also enjoyed.
Numbers are strictly limited to 50 people and the event is bound to sell out shortly, much like last year, so if you’re interested, head to Eventbrite to purchase tickets.
