Tickets On Sale For Highly Anticipated SA4SA Bushfire Appeal Gala Dinner

The gala has a fundraising target of more than $100,000, to assist families and businesses affected by the horrific South Australian bushfires.

The highly anticipated SA4SA Bushfire Appeal Gala Dinner, set for Friday 31 January has gone on sale today, announcing a fundraising target of more than $100,000 to assist families and businesses affected by the horrific South Australian bushfires.

Money raised on the night will be donated to the SA Bushfire Appeal, announced by the Premier yesterday afternoon. The Appeal has been set up to raise funds for people directly affected by bushfires across South Australia, from November 2019 onwards, including Kangaroo Island and Cudlee Creek.

Every dollar donated to the SA Bushfire Appeal will go directly to those impacted by the fires, with the SA Government to absorb all administration costs.

Premier Steven Marshall says that the entire South Australian community stands shoulder to shoulder with those affected by these devastating bushfires.

“The sheer generosity shown by South Australians is an inspiration, with every dollar raised going directly to the many families and communities who need it most,” says Premier Marshall.

“Despite the tragic circumstances, there is a strong determination to recover and rebuild, and the SA4SA Bushfire Appeal Gala is another great example of our community spirit.

“Our focus is on working with the communities in the Adelaide Hills and Kangaroo Island to get them back on their feet, and make them even stronger.”

Set at the Adelaide Convention Centre, the black-tie Gala is set to be a night to remember.

Aiming to sell more than 500 tickets, organisers are pulling together an unforgettable night celebrating our True-Blue Aussie Spirit.

Guests will: hear stories of tragedy and triumph with communities coming together to overcome unfathomable adversity; enjoy a stellar entertainment line-up throughout the night; taste a delicious three-course menu celebrating SA produce matched with SA wines; and have the opportunity to purchase and win some incredible prizes that have been flooding in from corporates and local businesses alike through raffles and auctions on the night.

Kelly Noble, Spokesperson for the Gala and Co-Founder of Showcase South Australia, says that it has been bittersweet organising this event alongside driving a bushfire communications hub for resources and updates through her sister business, Glam Adelaide.

“We have had overwhelming feedback from the community wanting to help or get involved in some way – it has been incredibly humbling to be at the coalface of people’s generosity at such a time of need – these people are really hurting and we hope we can make a difference. Let’s not forget that as those first hit by these bushfires start their clean up, the rest of the state braces for a dangerous fire season ahead. This isn’t over,” she says.

Steve Testar, Co-Founder of Showcase SA, says he has been overwhelmed with the response from South Australian businesses who have already thrown their support behind the event.

“It’s fantastic to see South Australians rally together in what’s been a devastating and difficult time,” he says. “Events like this couldn’t happen without the support of some generous local businesses.”

Glam Adelaide and Showcase SA are proud to be underpinning the event, and have been using their corporate and community networks since December 20 to help drive support to those affected by the fires.

Media partners supporting the SA4SA Bushfire Appeal Gala include Seven, Southern Cross Austereo (Triple M and Hit107), & Fresh 927.

“We are so grateful to every business who has got involved, in particular the team of specialised suppliers including the Adelaide Convention Centre, and the event committee who have volunteered their services and are working tirelessly behind the scenes to make this event happen,” Noble says.

Tickets are on sale today and people are encouraged to get in quick to avoid disappointment.
