Two special events not part of this year’s official program have been announced on the Bank SA Sea and Vines Facebook and Twitter feeds, with several more secret events still to be revealed.
Ros Miller, owner of Red Poles and Chair of Fleurieu Peninsula Tourism, is hosting the first two #SecretlySocial events.
“Without giving too much away, our first event is the premiere of a new show about to tour Australia, featuring a wonderful musician and an exhibition by her photographer husband,” Ros said.
“Then we’re being joined by brewers from one of Australia’s most loved craft beer brands, who are matching their beers to a four course meal.
“Red Poles is also part of Matt Skinner’s Magical Plumm Bus Tour, and we have Brekky & Bubbles, so it’ll be a huge weekend!”
Although Sunday has traditionally been the big day at Sea and Vines, a series of degustations, concerts, parties, fine wine tastings and other special events are being held right across the June long weekend, from Friday to Monday.
Sommelier, author and television personality Matt Skinner, who co-founded the restaurant Fifteen with Jamie Oliver and Tobie Puttock, is joining this year’s festivities.
The Magical Plumm Bus Tour will visit Samuel’s Gorge, d’Arenberg, Wirra Wirra and Battle of Bosworth, with a two course lunch at Red Poles.
Many Adelaide Hotels are also running buses to festival events on the Sunday.
