Tiki’s Thai brings authentic flavours of Thailand to Semaphore Park

Tiki’s Thai is Semaphore Park’s new Thai restaurant offering up authentic flavours with a fun and fresh twist.

Semaphore Park has welcomed authentic Thai restaurant, Tiki’s Thai, which has already gained massive popularity among locals since its opening in February. Owned by Phatsachon Ritnayom, affectionately known as Tiki, the restaurant is the realisation of her dream to promote the diverse and delectable cuisine of her homeland.

Tiki, who has been a resident of Semaphore Park for the past 15 years, noticed a lack of genuine Thai experiences in the area. As the owner of a successful remedial massage clinic, she had strong connections within the community, who encouraged her to venture into creating Tiki’s Thai.

When asked about the catalyst behind opening the restaurant, she explained, “I’ve lived in Semaphore Park for 15 years and realised there’s not a lot of authentic Thai experiences in the area.”

Since its opening, Tiki’s Thai has received overwhelming support and positive feedback from customers. “The feedback has been amazing, and I appreciate all the support we’ve been getting,” Tiki shares.

“Everyone has been saying they’ve been waiting for a good Thai restaurant to open in the area. There’s a lot of Asian restaurants in the area, but not authentic–real–Thai food.”

What sets Tiki’s Thai apart is its commitment to delivering something different while retaining the authentic flavours of Thai cuisine. Tiki explains, “It’s something different, but it still keeps the taste of Thai food. When you go and eat Thai, it’s often the same, but I want people to come here and have something different. It’s new versions of classic dishes.”

With the help of Chef Jukkit Suwannakhot, Tiki’s Thai has created a fresh and inspiring menu. One of the menu’s most popular entree items is crispy bao, which is a mix of pork belly, five spice, pickled cucumber, Asian herbs, fresh chili and crushed peanuts, and pla goong which is Tiki’s signature dish.

To complement the delectable Thai cuisine, Tiki’s Thai offers an impressive selection of wines from Vineyard – God’s Hill, owned by Tiki’s partner. These wines, sourced from the renowned Barossa Valley, pair exceptionally well with the restaurant’s spicy dishes, adding an extra dimension to the dining experience.

When asked about choosing Semaphore Park as the location for her restaurant, Tiki highlights the area’s proximity to the beach and the relaxed atmosphere it provides. “I think Semaphore Park is very close to the beach, a great place to head out on the weekend and unwind, rather than making your way into the city,” she says. The restaurant’s simple yet inviting space, adorned with greenery, creates a laid-back ambiance perfect for date nights or relaxed family meals.

If you’re in Semaphore Park and craving an authentic Thai experience, Tiki’s Thai Cuisine is a must-visit destination. With its genuine flavors, warm hospitality, and inviting atmosphere, Tiki’s Thai promises to transport your taste buds to the vibrant streets of Thailand.
