Timomatic To Headline Australia Day

Aussie dance and singing sensation Timomatic will headline  Australia Day in the City.

The key capital city celebration for South Australia will be held in Elder Park on Sunday 26 January, proudly presented by Adelaide City Council.

“I can’t wait to rock the stage in Adelaide for Australia Day” said Timomatic whose performance will include his regular team of dancers and is scheduled to begin at 8.30pm on Australia Day just prior to the fireworks finale.

Timomatic (aka Timothy Omaji) had an amazing 2013 by making his mark on the International music scene with hit singles “Everything Is Allowed”, “Parachute” and “Waterfalls”, won two APRA Awards and was featured as a judge on Channel Nine’s series of Australia’s Got Talent

Timomatic will be supported by Sarah De Bono who is one of Australia’s most exciting upcoming artists. Sarah was a top four finalist in the television series the Voice in 2012.  The Concert at Australia Day in the City will be presented by the Commonwealth Bank.

The annual Australia Day in the City-Parade, Concert & Fireworks event will again be held in Elder Park from 7pm, with a crowd of over 35,000 expected.

The free, family friendly event will feature newly designed fireworks display to be unveiled on the night, aligns with the Riverbank Footbridge currently under construction. More than 4000 people are expected to take part in the annual community parade which begins at 6pm.

Following the fireworks, the Snazzy Sizzle After-Party will keep the celebrations going ’til the early hours of the morning with the internationally acclaimed DJ HMC. Entry is only $5 per person!

“Australia Day in the City continues to grow in popularity each year and really is an event for the whole family to enjoy. So come down to Elder Park and join the celebrations for Australia’s national day,” Lord Mayor Stephen Yarwood said.
