Event Postponed.
In the interests of patron and merchant safety and after reviewing weather reports from several sources, the conditions reported by our onsite setup team and the messages we have received we have unfortunately had to make the tough decision to postpone the Barossa Winterfest for this year.
We value the safety of all merchants and patrons to our events and thank you for your understanding as we sort out a new date.
A new date for this event will be advertised as soon as this has been locked in.
Thank you
The Barossa Winterfest team.
DOGS DAY OUT AT GLENELG WINTER ARTS FESTIVAL | JULY 20 – CANCELLED
When: Saturday July 20th from midday
Where: Colley Terrace, Glenelg
DOGS’ DAY OUT CANCELLED TODAY DUE TO WEATHER DAMAGE
It is with disappointment and regret that we announce that our Dogs’ Day Out event has been cancelled today!
Unfortunately, weather conditions overnight intensified at Colley Reserve, with the worst of the weather coming through while we were closed. This has led to some damage to our event site.
While our site crew is working hard on the clean up, repairs and resetting the event site, and the festival will reopen later today, we will NOT be able to do so in time to proceed with the Dogs’ Day Out stalls and activities.
This means we have made the unhappy decision to cancel the Dogs’ Day Out today, to make sure our puppas stay safe.
Glenelg Winter Arts Festival’s scheduled shows will recommence from 3pm today in The May Wirth and Kingfisher performance spaces, which have not sustained any damage. Ticketholders for the earlier show we have had to cancel will be contacted about this.
We apologise for any inconvenience, and truly appreciate the high level of interest shown in this new event for Glenelg Winter Arts Festival. We are planning a Dogs’ Day Out for the 2025 festival.

GLENELG WINTER ARTS FESTIVAL – OPENING POSTPONED TO 2:30PM TODAY
While it was fortunate that the weather stayed manageable for our site yesterday and all Glenelg Winter Arts Festival shows last night were able to safely go ahead as scheduled, we need to delay our opening time today.
Unfortunately, weather conditions overnight intensified at Colley Reserve, with the worst of the weather coming through this area while we were closed. This has led to some damage to the Glenelg Winter Arts Festival event site.
Our site crew is working hard to clean up and reset the event site, and the festival gates will reopen at 2.30pm.
The following events have been cancelled:
Dogs’ Day Out, 12pm – 4pm (unticketed)
KABOOM!, 1pm
Ticketholders will be contacted by Fringetix about this, and fortunately will have the option to transfer to an alternative session of KABOOM! (4.30pm today, or 1pm or 4.30pm tomorrow), as two extra sessions have been added due to popular demand.
Glenelg Winter Arts Festival’s scheduled shows will recommence from 3pm today in The May Wirth and Kingfisher performance spaces, which have not sustained any damage.
We apologise for any inconvenience and look forward to seeing festivalgoers again from 2.30pm onwards in Colley Reserve.
Thank you so much for your support of this festival, and for your patience with these changes.

THE BIG ROCKING HORSE PLAYGROUND – CLOSED
(CAFE, ANIMAL PARK AND GIFT SHOP STILL OPEN)
The severe weather conditions have hit us as well, so the free playground areas are CLOSED so we can safely do clean up and assess the damage.
All of our animals are safe and not too stressed which is my number 1 concern.
Our cafe, animal park & gift shop are still open today as power is back on.
Stay safe everyone and be mindful of any debris on the roads when driving ![]()
