From its roots as a humble family market garden to becoming one of South Australia’s favourite names in fresh produce, Tony & Mark’s is set to open its ninth store this September, and this time it’s bringing all the goodies to Port Adelaide Plaza.
What started as a small fruit and veg shop in 1978 by brothers Tony and Mark Capobianco has now grown into a fresh food favourite for people across the state. Still proudly family owned and run by Mark, his wife Melly, and their three sons Frank, Paul and Michael, Tony & Mark’s has a 400-strong team dedicated to quality, service, and community.
Now, with its latest store at Port Adelaide Plaza, the family is set to welcome a whole new neighbourhood into their fold.
“This partnership brings one of Adelaide’s most iconic fresh food retailers to Port Adelaide Plaza, alongside Woolworths, Aldi, Big W and over 70 specialty retailers,” said Trevor Dill, Chief Operating Officer of Precision Group incorporating Tony & Mark’s.
Port Adelaide is undergoing a major revitalisation and this new addition is one of the developments breathing new life into the precinct.
Other projects include a $35 million upgrade of Alberton Oval and the construction of a new Aboriginal Cultural Destination called Yitpi Yartapuultiku.
Stepping inside the new Tony & Mark’s, you’ll find everything their customers have come to love, beautifully displayed seasonal produce and artisan treats from local and international businesses. It’s a providore for food lovers and gives convenience ideal for a quick supermarket run but with all the extra delicious delights.
The Capobianco family have fostered close relationships with local growers, are proud of their strong and supportive team of dedicated staff who create memorable moments for shoppers.
Forty-plus years, nine stores, and countless baskets of fresh produce later, the Tony & Mark’s journey continues, inviting old friends and new faces to experience food, family, and hospitality under one roof.
