There aren’t many things that could entice us to leave the comfort of home this winter, but we’ve found something that might be worth the effort.
Local North Adelaide gem, Tony Tomatoes, has announced it will be hosting a 3-course banquet every Wednesday and Thursday. The award-winning, “real-deal” Italian is known for dishing out an authentic, family-friendly menu, all with fresh produce and ingredients, so this is a deal you won’t want to miss.
The 3-course banquet is structured as follows: dig into some arancini balls or meatballs for your first course, followed by the whole family’s favourite dish – pizza! Clean your palate with a decadent tiramisu, and voila! A delicious 3-course meal for only $25 per person. What a steal!
The vibrant, spacious diner features traditional favourites and creative pizza intentions, and is ideal for any gathering from your next family catch up for your office team lunch.
Other banquet style menus are also available to explore, catering to 4-8 people. The Piccolo, Medio and Grande banquet options vary from $35-$55 per person.
If you’re an avid pizza connoisseur, definitely check out what Tony Tomatoes has on offer. The chefs are certified pizza makers, approved by the Accademia Italiana della Pizza in Italy, so we’re sure they know what they’re talking about.
After the success of their nearby Italian restaurant Ruby Red Flamingo, owners Lauro Siliquini and Enzo Verdino travelled around Italy looking for the country’s best pizza. The duo returned to SA and used that knowledge to create Tony Tomatoes.
Some favourites include the “Mr Pig”, with Broccoli Purée, Pecorino, Mozzarella, Baby Broccoli, Pork & Fennel Sausage, and Chilli, alongside the “Flying Anchovy”, made with Tomato, Mozzarella, Kalamata Olives, Anchovies, Capers, Chilli and Parsley.
