The festive season is almost upon us, and as the weather heats up for the last month of Spring, so too does the social scene—with stacks of activities and events happening around the state.

To help you plan your calendar, we’ve selected ten of the best events taking place this November around South Australia, including OzAsia Festival, Adelaide Italian Festival and the bp Adelaide Grand Final.

OzAsia Festival | Oct 17 – Nov 9

Australia’s leading contemporary arts festival engaging with Asia, OzAsia Festival, will bring remarkable contemporary dance, powerful theatre, delicious cuisine, engaging conversations and brilliant musicians to the Adelaide Festival Centre.

This also marks the return of the very popular Lucky Dumpling Market, which will transport visitors to the bustling street markets of Asia with dumplings, noodles, bao, salads and curry.

Spring Racing Carnival | Oct 18 – Nov 8

Spring racing is back at Morphettville this November. While this kicked off in October, there’s still plenty of events to come including the Victoria Derby Day on November 1st, Melbourne Cup day on November 4th, and Champions Stakes Day on November 8th. So break out your finest suits and fascinators, and head to the races this spring.

Supanova | Oct 31 – Nov 2

This spring, Adelaide is about to become the centre of all things pop culture, as Supanova Comic Con & Gaming returns to the Adelaide Showground from October 31st to November 2nd.

This year’s line-up is bigger, bolder, and better than ever, with cult icons, sci-fi legends, anime pioneers, and comic book creators all in attendance. And for Adelaide, some very exclusive guests will be appearing, bringing a whole other level to the three jam-packed days of fandom, fantasy, and fun.

National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant | Nov 8

The beloved annual National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant in Adelaide is back this month celebrating the festive spirit with a parade featuring colourful floats, entertainment, and community involvement. Since its inception in 1933, the pageant has become a cherished tradition, attracting thousands of spectators each year.

Feast Festival | Nov 1 – 23

Feast Festival’s iconic Picnic in the Park returns free for all, promising a full day of colour, music and community pride.

LGBTQIA+ arts and cultural festival, Feast Festival, is celebrating a huge milestone this year as it’s 50 years since the decriminalisation of homosexuality in South Australia. Kicking off from November 1st to November 23rd, this festival is marking its 28th anniversary with a packed lineup of events.

Adelaide Italian Festival | Nov 7 – 16

Get ready for 10 days of all things Italian with the return of the enormously popular Adelaide Italian Festival! With a spicy lineup of events, this immersive celebration of Italy’s rich heritage and contemporary culture promises to be bigger and better than ever.

The Local | Nov 8

This November, Glenelg will be transformed for one day only into a celebration of all things local. ‘The Local’ is a homegrown music festival showcasing 100 per cent South Aussie talent, giving local artists a chance to shine on a big stage. This is a free, all-ages, inclusive event.

 FIVB World Beach Volleyball Championships | Nov 14 – 23

South Australia’s sporting scene is about to hit new heights this summer, turning up the heat as the city comes alive with world-class action, electric crowds, and an unbeatable atmosphere. This November, the world’s biggest beach volleyball event, the Beach Volleyball World Championships, is touching down in the city, being held in Australia for the first time ever.

Our Sound Festival | Nov 22

Drum and bass is returning to Adelaide in 2025, as Our Sound festival heads to Bonython Park / Tulya Wardli this November. This second edition of Our Sound, curated by Groove Events, is bringing a huge lineup of international and local talent across two stages.

Headlining the festival is Wilkinson and Pendulum!

bp Adelaide Grand Final | Nov 27 – 30

The bp Grand Final Adelaide is set to conclude the month, bringing all the Supercars action to the city. This year, the event is set to heat up as ACDC, Amyl and the Sniffers, and Lenny Kravitz join the entertainment lineup.

Totally flamboyant and totally funny, comedian Bob Downe is heading to Adelaide this November to celebrate four decades of laughs, polyester, and absolute showbiz sparkle.
