Happy May the 4th Day! To celebrate Star Wars Day, here are a few epic things to do to mark the occasion. May the fourth be with you.

Tropical Trivia Star Wars Edition @ Hades Hula House

Hades Hula House Tropical Trivia with a couple of Queens every month, and this month, it lands on 4 May. The team have made it STAR WARS THEMED, and there’s a bonus $50 Hula House voucher for the best costume of the night.

Star Wars Geek Run 2022

In the words of the Geek runners, May the 4th celebrates not only Star Wars, but the sci-fi genre and the inner geek in all of us. The Geek Run is a little bit of mid-week fun! Do anywhere from 1km – 42.2km using the 7.5km course in the City of Norwood, Payneham, & St Peters. There’s different start times throughout the day (the earliest starting at 4pm). Arrive 30 mins before your start time, and cut-off is at midnight.

When: Start between 4pm-6:40pm

May The 4th Be With You movie month

Diverse-City is hosting a Star Wars night every Wednesday evening in May, starting from 4 May. Dress up as your favourite character, and bond with fellow Star Wars fans. Food will be available between 6pm – 8pm, as well as popcorn, ice cream and drinks. Movies will be:

4 May – A New Hope
11 May – The Empire Strikes Back
18 May – Return of the Jedi
25 May – The Force Awakens

Star Wars Super Saturday

For those who can’t celebrate today, The Noarlunga Library is hosting an epic Star Wars day. Make a light-saber, a character mask, and personalize a name badge with your own Star Wars name. There’s also a scavenger hunt where you can decode Yoda’s secret message, and a spacey photo booth to capture your epic costumes!

Listen to the Lyrebirds at Botanic Gardens

Lyrebirds have an impressive ability to mimic natural and artificial sounds from their environment. Rove McManus recently visited the Adelaide Zoo and commented on how our lyrebirds are the BEST at mimicking Star Wars lasers.
