Happy May the 4th Day! To celebrate Star Wars Day, here are a few epic things to do to mark the occasion. May the fourth be with you.
A.I Wars: Return of the Improv at The Howling Owl
From the creators of ‘Oscar-Winning Improv’ and ‘Letters to the Editor’ comes a brand new hour of improvised comedy every month. Tonight you’ll need to bring your lightsaber and your Jedi robes because tonight’s improv is “A.I Wars: Return of the Improv” and they’ll be jumping to hyperspace to a galaxy far, far away!
Changing Jennifers are going to feed your suggestions into a droid “text generator” and improvise the completely original Star Wars story it spits out. It’ll be as if millions of voices suddenly cried out… with laughter!

Create a Star Wars inspired board game at Seaford Library
The kids will get a chance to take part in an after-school Star Wars extravaganza at Seaford Library today. Children aged over 10 can go and create their own star wars inspired board game featuring their favourite characters from Yoda, to Chewbacca to Anakin Skywalker. Arrive at 3:30pm with your child for an hour of May the Fourth fun – bookings are essential.

Star Wars extravaganza at Noarlunga Library
Suitable for children a little younger as well (5+), this library extravaganza looks like an afternoon of Star Wars-themed fun! Activities will include games, challenges, craft costumes, and more. Costumes and dress ups are encouraged as well. Parents are required and encouraged to get involved.

Star Wars Geek Run 2023
In the words of the Geek runners, May the 4th celebrates not only Star Wars, but the sci-fi genre and the inner geek in all of us. The Geek Run is a little bit of mid-week fun! Do anywhere from 1km – 42.2km using the 7.5km course in the City of Norwood, Payneham, & St Peters. There’s different start times throughout the day (the earliest starting at 4pm). Arrive 30 mins before your start time, and cut-off is at midnight.

Listen to the Lyrebirds at Botanic Gardens
Lyrebirds have an impressive ability to mimic natural and artificial sounds from their environment. Rove McManus recently visited the Adelaide Zoo and commented on how our lyrebirds are the BEST at mimicking Star Wars lasers.
