There is no doubt that the Adelaide Fringe is known for its scandalous array of shows sporting cabaret acts, sensual dance numbers and dark comedies. However, the Fringe also has a huge assortment of family-friendly shows that the little ones will froth over.

We have collated our top picks for the most family-friendly shows for this Fringe season.

PreHysterical

Kids and Family / Circus

Adelaide Fringe-goers are in for a treat when Head First Acrobats bring back PreHysterical – an award-winning, hilarious circus show for children and adults of all ages.

Playing every weekend in The Vault, a new custom-built dome circus tent in Fool’s Paradise, PreHysterical follows three foolish Neanderthals as they struggle to survive in the real world.

The trio must learn to work together to avoid dangerous predators and navigate treacherous environments such as caves with terrifying tigers, waterfalls full of electrics eels, and creepy animal boneyards.

Dreams turn into reality in this uplifting extravaganza about the power of believing in yourself. With jaw-dropping circus and rollicking comedy, this hilarious story about following your dreams has it all: contortion, juggling, hula hoops, trapeze… and even a space unicorn!

Using a blend of creative techniques, tools, and multidisciplinary expertise, Signal explores the overlap of sensory experiences, translating the movement of a performer into sound with movement sensors, heart rate monitors, instruments, and more.
