With so many spots in Adelaide serving up unreal sandwiches, it’s hard to choose where to go. We’ve rounded up our top four sando spots right now that you absolutely must try for the best deli-style creations that are worth every single penny! Whether you call them sandos or sandwiches, this is the list you need.

Rascals Deli and Wine Bar

Rascals Deli and Wine Bar has taken its place as Adelaide’s quirky sandwich deli, where you can enjoy sandos by day and wine by night. If we’re focusing on the ‘by day’ part, customers have been raving about their deli-style sandwiches, some calling them the best in town. Served up from 10am (with gluten free options available), some of their standout creations include the ‘Chicken Run’ with Rascals spiced chicken, greens, red onion, maple bacon, Italian chilli and Swiss cheese. Or the ‘Italian Stallion’ with prosciutto, tomato, basil, fior di latte and balsamic.

Bottega Bandito, the popular cult classic delicatessen from Prospect, recently opened a second location in the heart of Adelaide’s city. Since starting in 2021, Bottega has been famous for its freshly made sandwiches, crafted from its iconic house-made sourdough focaccia. We can’t go past their their ‘Prosciutto’ sando, featuring San Daniele prosciutto, roasted peppers, stracciatella, jalapenos, and a drizzle of truffle honey. Or try the ‘Sopressa’ sando, loaded with fermented chili mayo, fior di latte, fresh tomato, basil, and pickled chili (both have a GF option available).
