New SA kids show, Star Girlz launches with high-energy singing and dancing fun for kids

Star Academy’s new children’s series Star Girlz is combining music, wellbeing, and local talent to empower young audiences.

If you’ve got little ones at home who love a bit of song and sparkle and are looking for something positive to get involved with, get ready to meet their new favourite crew! Local Adelaide dance studio, Star Academy, has just launched its very own YouTube series, Star Girlz, and it’s bringing fun, feel-good content to your kids.

Fresh from its official premiere, Star Girlz is a children’s show that blends entertainment with themes of wellbeing, resilience, and self-worth. The five-minute episodes feature four space travellers who have landed on Earth. Each episode delivers a message that encourages the young viewers to be kind, confident, and proud of who they are.

There’s Sunny, Luna, Skye, and Aries, each with their own style, strengths, and signature sparkle. Together, they explore all the things that make life on Earth wonderful. Among the themes of friendship, healthy living, creative expression, and emotional balance, there’ll be dance breaks, positive pep talks, and the kind of catchy tunes and affirmations your kids will be quoting for weeks.

Star Girlz is all about supporting the young children watching and their families, too. From mindful moments and even learning how to speak up with confidence, the show covers a wide range of wellness themes in a completely kid-friendly way.

“Creating a strong sense of self is crucial from a young age, and there needs to be positive influence in every child’s life,” shared Star Academy’s Managing Director Jenna.

“Star Girlz has powerful messages of wellbeing that help to support families in their journey of raising happy, healthy children.”

The show is also showcasing a lineup of local talent. Sunny is played by Zoe Burns, who you might recognise from the Netflix series ‘Gymnastics Academy – A Second Chance’, where she starred as Scarlet. With performance backgrounds and real-life passion for wellbeing and creativity, the Star Girlz cast are the kind of role models you’ll be glad your kids are watching.

The Star Girlz series is Star Academy’s first foray into digital content, and it’s off to a flying start. Known for their excellence in dance, singing, and stage performance, the academy has now expanded its creative reach to inspire children around the world, right from our hometown.

Episodes will continue to roll out across 2025, and can be streamed for free on YouTube.
