Have you ever found yourself in between fringe shows, wanting a quick dinner that’s not from a food truck? This Fringe season the Adelaide dining scene is taking it next level, as they introduce their annual express menus.

‘What’s an express menu?’ You may ask. Well, it’s normally three or four courses, of the best these restaurants have to offer, often paired with a glass of wine, that gets you in and out within less than an hour for a super affordable price.

Here are some of our top picks that are on offer over the next few weeks!

Fino Vino

Flinders Street restaurant, Fino Vino is coming in hot with their $55pp three-course menu. While it changes each week, at the moment you’ll find a delicious lineup of charred sourdough focaccia, heirloom tomatoes with basil oil⁠, grilled zucchini with fresh ricotta and herbs⁠, and a lamb kofta with peperonata, topped off with a glass of wine.

This express menu is available for lunch or dinner on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and from 5.30pm on Tuesday and Saturday.⁠

Georges on Waymouth

Georges on Waymouth also has an express menu this Fringe season, serving up three courses and a glass of vino for $69pp.

On their menu, you’ll start off with a rosemary sourdough that’s paired with local olive oil and their signature taramasala. Then enjoy grilled halloumi with saffron poached pear and Adelaide Hills honey. For main enjoy the housemade Parisian gnocchi with smoked tomato pesto, and a lamb press with pancetta and carrot crema. Finish the meal with their burnt chocolate cheesecake.

Mothervine

Mothervine’s express menu is $55pp and includes 7 delicious dishes and 2 glasses of wine between 4:30pm and 6:30pm making it the perfect pre-show meal or quick dinner option.

Start with olives, sourdough, beef carpaccio and crispy halloumi. Then enjoy slow-cooked brisket, a garden salad, and polenta chips.

Olive Restaurant

Olive Restaurant’s express menu includes a glass of wine, two entrees and your choice of main for $49pp. Start with rosemary foccacia with brown butter hommus and chickpeas, then zucchini chips with whipped feta. For the main choose between ricotta gnocchi with pork sausage and fennel ragu or Portuguese chicken with turmeric rice.

This is available from 4pm to 6pm for up to eight guests.

Station Road

Have you been keen to check out one of Adelaide’s most anticipated restaurants? If so, you’re in luck, because this Adelaide Fringe, Station Road has its very own express menu. For $55 enjoy three courses starting with a tuna tartare, then a chicken ballotine, and finishing with a mango sorbet.
