Topiary is a traditional tea house serving modern Australian cuisine with a strong focus on the best local and South Australian produce. They have a distinct focus on nature, both in their sourcing of ingredients from their distinctive edible garden and in their stunning outdoor setting.
Situated at the foothills within the grounds of Newman’s Nursery, the outdoor area features a sandstone alfresco dining area with a flowering wisteria arbour, lush edible garden, and views of some of the magnificent display gardens.
The food that is prepared and served at Topiary is made with respect. Their food is made from produce sourced from their own edible garden and from South Australian businesses, guaranteeing freshness and high quality. While the food sounds simple, Topiary have put time and effort into cultivating their menus: bread and scones are baked daily and each meal is carefully tested and developed to push boundaries, look aesthetically pleasing, and be reflective of the nature-filled setting.
The beverages are individually selected to offer the best local drinks on offer. Topiary’s blend of Rio Coffee is roasted in Stepney, accompanied by Tweedvale milk from Lobethal. Their range of soft drinks from Bickfords are made in Adelaide and their juice is freshly squeezed in Lobethal and contains no preservatives. Topiary’s wines are selected from some of the best South Australia has to offer and our beers are brewed all over Adelaide.
Topiary has a breakfast, lunch and all day menus with a supplementary wine list. They also serve a traditional high tea daily and offer express dinners on Thursdays and Fridays in support of their Saturday evening chef’s tasting dinner.
