When the going gets tough, the tough get going. That’s why Independent Championship Wrestling is donating a fifth of every ticket sold to the Queensland Flood Appeal on 29 January.

ICW has pinned down professional wrestlers from around the country for their first monthly showdown of 2011 at the Craigmore YMCA.

The explosive main event will see Sydney superstar ‘TNT’ in action against an unnamed opponent for the ICW Heavyweight championship. TNT has just recently returned from a tour of Japan where he wrestled for some of Japan’s largest federations.

Titanium Champion Josh Adamz will defend his title against the mighty Marco Mitra, while The Kutting Edge will take on Drake & T’Mac in some brutal tag team action.

Western Australia’s Daxon Kage will try to take down local legend Mickey Jackson, and if that isn’t enough punishment, it’s all-in for a Battle Royal to find the ICW’s Number 1 Contender – featuring Damien Drake, Daxon Kage (WA), “Fantabulous” Mickey Jackson, Shemal (NSW), DJ Fusion, “The Experience” Ryan O’hare, T’Mac, Blade Mathews (ACT), Sabre Mathews (ACT), Big Huss and SpaceBoy Dacey (NSW). Last man standing wins!

ICW started out in April of 2009 with a massive event that saw the Australian debuts of WWE Wrestlers “The Masterpiece” Chris Masters and Al Snow, and has since introduced Adelaide fans to Mana “The Polynesian Warrior” and former ECW Champion Steve Corino, along with a ring full of local and national fighters.

In July 2010 ICW held a charity show with proceeds being donated to the Hahndorf interim shelter to assist with the safety and protection of animals in SA. And now ICW Director Adam Jarvis is bringing more rounds of ringside devastation to fight the devastation of the Queensland floods.

Don’t miss over 2 hours of pec-tacular action at the Craigmore YMCA on Saturday night, 29 January. Doors open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start. Tickets are just $15, with $3 from each sale going to the Flood Appeal along with part proceeds of a fundraising raffle on the night. There will also be the opportunity to enter the draw for two tickets to an upcoming WWE tour in Adelaide!
