Preparations for the Santos Tour Down Under 2024 have officially shifted into high gear. With just a few days left until the premier cycling event kicks off, the iconic Victoria Square/Tarntanyangga has seen the arrival of the huge inflatable THINK! Road Safety Bike, signalling the arrival of one of South Australia’s most anticipated sporting spectacles.

The Santos Tour Down Under (TDU) is Australia’s premier international cycling race, attracting elite cyclists from around the world.
The event features a range of thrilling races, from the Ziptrak® Women’s Stage to the prestigious Santos Men’s Stage. This year, cycling superstars Luke Plapp, Simon Yates, Caleb Ewan, two-time World Champion Julian Alaphilippe, F1 idol Valtteri Bottas and Tiffany Cromwel are some of the big names that you can watch.
With over 101 events scheduled, TDU promises a thrilling experience for both cycling enthusiasts and casual fans.
One of the highlights of the TDU is the City of Adelaide Tour Village, a hub of activity for race-goers.
Located in the heart of Adelaide, this village offers free entry and a wide range of attractions. Visitors can enjoy panel discussions with riders and experts, watch live race streams on a big screen, and relax in the ‘recovery zone,’ complete with ice baths, physiotherapy services, and localised cryotherapy.
The Village also boasts daily knock-off hour drinks, a massive bike expo showcasing cutting-edge technology, behind-the-scenes access to team mechanics working on the cyclists’ bikes, and daily panel discussions featuring expert commentators. Families can find a dedicated family zone with curated events and ample shaded areas to cool off.
Adding to the excitement is the giant inflatable bike within the Village, and it’s ALREADY UP!
