Australia’s touring Wonderland Spiegeltent will take centre stage this year at the Adelaide Fringe Festival.

Australia’s touring Wonderland Spiegeltent will take centre stage this year at the Adelaide Fringe Festival 19 Feb – 21 March with a pride of place location Hindmarsh Square.

On tour nationally presenting world class live entertainment including Cabaret, Circus, Burlesque and Concerts, the nostalgic Wonderland Spiegeltent is the most enchanting of structures with intimate booths, circular stage, velvet and brocade décor and stained-glass windows that will transport you back to an era of early 20th century charm and decadence.

The Wonderland outside Bar & open air stage will include free entertainment throughout the festival with free entry into the area! Live music, incredible Circus, Live n Local musicians and  suspended eight metres in the air The Incredible High flying Jess will walk the wire nightly.

Pre show performances are included in our free outdoor entertainment! Relax and enjoy the Summer fun, free entertainment, delicious food options and brewed for Summer Pirate Life Beer varieties all at the Wonderland Spiegeltent Festival Hub.

The obscenely intelligent, beautifully filthy, and rib-crackingly funny Reuben Kaye returns to Adelaide in an explosion of high camp & filthy humour with a new cabaret show, new band and new way to un-WINE-d.

BARBAROI (9 – 21 March @ 6:45pm / Tix from $30)

A dystopian world, industrial cyberpunk in the not-too-distant future. Gangs overrun the neon-clad side streets and the underbelly and outcasts rule the pitch-black forgotten ruins of an old district. There is chaos, there is danger in the shadows. There is a showdown happening downtown; a lone wanderer stumbles amongst a crew of meta-human misfits, the Barbaroi. This is do or die, this is her initiation.

A cirque sensation that has sold out seasons all around the world, Elixir is a vibrant crowd-pleaser, as shown by their innumerable five-star reviews and thousands of satisfied fans. Set in a huge science laboratory, Elixir begins with three scientists ingesting various chemicals to discover the ultimate body-enhancing human elixir. Equal parts funny, sexy, and raucous, this show is a full serve of dynamic circus, on-point hilarity, and no-holds-barred steamy brinkmanship.

MUSIC HEADLINERS 

FANNY LUMSDEN (28 Feb @ 4pm / Tix from $25)

Fanny Lumdsen and her incredible band The Prawn Stars plus special guest Timothy James Bowen. Fanny celebrates the release of her latest album ‘Fallow’ in an entirely new show. Known for her all-in community night out Country Halls Tour, which has sold out more than 130 halls all across Australia, this tour will bring something a little different to the live stage. Cinematic, laden with harmonies, stories and musicianship, these theatre-based shows will take you on a journey into the mountains, across the plains and back again. Welcome to the valley. Welcome to Fallow.

THE SHOWGIRL AND THE COWGIRL RIDE AGAIN (12-14 March @ 5pm / Tix from $45)

Something special happens when Country Music royalty Beccy Cole and acclaimed jazz and cabaret performer Libby O’Donovan take the stage together. Libby and Beccy take the audience on a journey of intertwining genres, swapping songs, sharing stories and breaking musical stereotypes, all the while leaving the audience in fits of laughter.

GORDI (26-27 Feb @ 5pm / Tix from $ 45)

Gordi is the musical moniker of Australian singer-songwriter-producer, Sophie Payten, from the tiny agricultural town of Canowindra (population 1,800). Gordi will be bringing her ARIA-nominated and J Award nominated second album ‘Our Two Skins’ to life with a special intimate performance for Adelaide Fringe. The album is an exploration of identity, community and isolation, as the young artist came to terms with her new identity against the backdrop of Australia’s marriage equality vote.

ADELAIDE BLUES MUSIC FESTIVAL (Mon 8th March @ 2pm / Tix from $39)

All Australian Non-stop Blues music held in the Wonderland Spiegeltent Festival Hub. This event will host multiple stages, food trucks, delicious Pirate Life beverages with an all Australian, all star Blues line up!
