With the silly season fast approaching, it’s time to let down your hair and start pencilling in your glittery New Year’s Eve plans. This year The HWY is hosting an epic evening of all things beer, beats and bloody good fun to celebrate the year that was 2021.
Bringing Adelaidians a slice of each state and territory, The HWY is taking its New Year’s Eve guests on a boozy journey around Australia without ever leaving the iconic watering hole.
Aptly named Around ‘Straylia NYE, ring the New Year in the true blue Aussie way, by drinking the nations best beers alongside your best mates at The HWY.
With domestic travel still a muddled situation, there’s no need to fuss about domestic travel, exemptions and border restrictions at the epic party, with the team slinging a dedicated drink for each state every hour for guests to enjoy.
Taste your way through Western Australia and the fruity hops of a Little Creatures pint, or wrestle a croc after drinking a bit of liquid courage given to you from the NT’s Great Northern Beer.
No need to worry if you aren’t a fan of the froth – The HWY will also be shaking and making cocktails representing each state for crowds to try. Indulge in a Queensland Banana Blender cocktail or loosen yourself up with a Victorian Lockdown Lubricant mix.
Coined the best state (for obvious reasons), South Australia’s beer of choice will be the iconic Coopers. The mixologist connoisseurs at The HWY have also created a SA Fruitchoc cocktail, a delightful mix of Apricot Brandy, Mozart Choc, Orange Juice and crushed fruitchocs, which is sure to tickle your tastebuds.
Pash your person of choice as the clock strikes midnight and groove to Australian anthems all night long, with The HWY’s resident DJ’s taking the decks to bring the crowds the best beats they’ve heard.
Tickets to the New Year’s Eve party cost $85, including entry to the event, a beer or cocktail from each state every hour (7 drinks in total) and a $25 food voucher to use from The HWY’s Lounge Bar menu.
