COVID-19

Travellers entering SA from NSW or WA won’t have to undergo COVID-19 testing

As of midnight on Saturday, those entering SA from NSW or WA will not be required to undergo COVID-19 testing.

Travellers entering South Australia from New South Wales and Western Australia will no longer be required to undergo mandatory COVID-19 testing after arriving.

Premier Steven Marshall announced the news today, stating the change will come into place as of midnight on Saturday.

The Premier stressed anyone coming into the state with symptoms should, of course, isolate and get tested for COVID-19 as soon as possible.

South Australia’s border is currently closed to those who have been in Greater Melbourne due to ongoing COVID-19 concern, with Victoria reporting two new cases today.

South Australia recorded one new COVID-19 today, reported from a medi-hotel.

Today’s case is a man in his 30s who recently returned from overseas and has been in a medi-hotel since his arrival, and serology is underway to determine if this is an old infection.

SA Health is continuing to monitor COVID-19 in other jurisdictions. For the latest updates and testing requirements, visit www.sahealth.sa.gov.au/covidcontacttracing.
