Adelaide is going wild for the new late-night acai spot, Acaico (pronounced ah-sah-co), now open in Woodcroft. Acaico is the latest “girl dinner” spot, bringing Insta-worthy late-night acai to Adelaide’s south.
Owners Isla and Kiara put their business brains together to launch Acaico, which opened this month. As qualified lash techs and owners of Muse House Collective, this dynamic duo are no strangers to the business world.
“Kiara and I, absolutely love acai! We would spend our whole paychecks on it, sometimes we’d get bowls twice a day. We are lash techs, so would order them to our studio all the time,” Isla says.
“We are business girls, so we thought we’d open our own spot. We soft-launched from my dad’s chicken shop, and fortunately, a space opened up so we could establish something more permanent. We got heaps of love on the soft launch, so super excited for what’s in store for Acaico.”
This love of acai is what inspired the new venture.

Acai bowls have been all the rage, with new spots popping up all over Adelaide in recent months. As Acaico joins the list of must-try acai locations, they promise to do it a bit differently.
“Marketing and branding is a big deal for us. We’re ‘psycho for acai’, literally, so we’re trying to incorporate that into the branding.
“We don’t just want to serve acai but want to make people smile and give them a laugh. We picked the colours and added the red flag because we really are psycho for acai!”

At Acaico, the menu is stacked full of acai goodness, and as a superfood, you know you’re eating something good when you get acai.
Customers can choose to build their own specific bowl, which comes in two different sizes, or, choose from something off the menu. As for bowls, there are seven to choose from.
Kiara’s favourite is the Gold Digger with vegan protein. The Gold Digger is an acai base with strawberries, banana, granola, crumbled Biscoff and Biscoff spread. Isla loves the Gurl Dinner, which is the same acai base with granola. On top, it has berries and protein.
Another favourite would have to be Do’nutella’ Versace. With the same base as the Gold Digger, the Biscoff is swapped out for Nutella and chocolate chips, so yum!

Acaico also has acai sundaes, with fun flavours like Murder on the Dancefloor, If you like Pina Coladas and The Mike Wazowski – there’s something for everyone on the menu. Whether you’re after a midday pick-me-up, or late-night sweet treat, Acaico has you covered!
