Tried Korean brunch before? This hidden gem in Unley has got you covered

Latte Studio in Unley has boarded the brunch train, and it’s taking your taste buds on a thrilling ride with a bold Korean twist! The Unley venue follows Latte Studio’s first cafe in Torrensville, which opened in 2020.

The cafe opened in November last year at the vibrant north end of Unley Road, in place of the beloved burger joint Gang Gang, which moved to Eden Hills around the same time.

We reckon Latte Studio in Unley might be one of the hottest new hidden-gem cafes in Adelaide’s surrounding suburbs.

With sublime coffee by ST. ALi Coffee Roasters and everything from strawberry matcha to the venue’s signature butterscotch latte, Latte Studio has you covered.

But, hey, you’re here for the brunch, so let’s get into it. At the forefront of the menu comes the KFC sando—no, not Kentucky, but Korean fried chicken. With crispy iceberg lettuce surrounding saucy Korean fried chicken between two fresh, thick-cut slices of fluffy white bread, this one’s a winner in my book.

The spicy zucchini fritter is a crowd favourite, lathered in gochujang and ready for your choice of additions: eggs, kimchi, spicy pork, and heaps more.

The miso benedict, kimchi toastie, and matcha French toast are all great options too.

Joint-owner Ines said, “We’re offering a lot of the popular dishes from Torrensville, but lots of fresh ones too.”

“We’re doing a Korean-fusion menu with a lot of brunch classics,” she added.

The café has taken all your favourite brunch dishes and given them a spicy twist (literally), loading them up with gochujang, kimchi, garlic, and a punch of Korean spices.

The venue is bright and inviting, featuring a peaceful outdoor courtyard ideal for sunny mornings and afternoons, along with a fresh, modern indoor space. With touches of greenery both inside and out, it’s got a noticeably laid-back atmosphere.

Ines said, “Business is good, and the Torrensville owners, Han and Cho, were happy they found a bigger space for their second cafe.”

So, whether you’re a fan of the original Torrensville location or seeking something new to spice up your mornings, make sure to add Latte Studio Unley to your list.
