Triple 0 Charity Ball: A Spectacular Night in Support of Emergency Service Heroes and the CFS Foundation

Now, in its latest edition, the ball is turning up the excitement by proudly welcoming the CFS Foundation to join the cause.

Get ready for a night to remember as the Triple 0 Charity Ball returns in 2023, shining even brighter with the inclusion of the CFS Foundation. Since its inception in 2021, this special event has been a celebration of the unwavering bravery of South Australian emergency service workers who selflessly protect our community. Now, in its latest edition, the ball is turning up the excitement by proudly welcoming the CFS Foundation to join the cause.

The SA Country Fire Service (CFS) stands as the largest force of emergency service personnel in South Australia, with an astounding 13,500 volunteers spread across 425 brigades. Their commitment and dedication to keeping our communities safe cannot be overstated. That’s why the Triple 0 Charity Ball is rallying behind these heroes and their families, raising funds to support them in their vital work.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, December 9th, at 6:30pm, as the Adelaide Convention Centre comes alive with glamour and elegance. This black-tie affair promises to be a night like no other, filled with celebration, fundraising, and recognition of the incredible efforts of our emergency service workers, students, volunteers, and their families.

The Triple 0 Charity Ball brings together several charities closely affiliated with South Australian emergency services. In addition to the CFS Foundation, the Australian Professional Firefighters Foundation, SA Police Legacy, and the Stafford Wulff Opportunity Scholarship in Paramedic Science at Flinders University join forces to provide essential support to those who dedicate their lives to protecting us.

The Australian Professional Firefighters Foundation offers vital support and recovery services to firefighters and their families, as well as assisting victims of fire at the Newland Ward of the Women’s and Children’s Hospital. Their work ensures that those affected by fire receive the care they need during challenging times.

SA Police Legacy plays a crucial role in providing financial and emotional support to families of South Australian police officers facing serious health issues or bereavement. They also foster social connection and support through various activities and gatherings, creating a sense of community within the police family.

The Stafford Wulff Opportunity Scholarship in Paramedic Science aims to promote equity by offering crucial support to Flinders University paramedicine students experiencing financial hardship. The scholarship assists students with essential costs related to their studies, such as uniforms, fitness testing, vaccinations, and diagnostic equipment, ensuring they can pursue their education without unnecessary burdens.

The CFS Foundation stands as the newest addition to the Triple 0 Charity Ball’s charitable partners. This foundation provides financial assistance to SA CFS volunteers and their families who have experienced tragedy, including death, injury, or significant property loss, while protecting their communities. The Foundation also funds a CFS mental health first aid training officer and provides vital equipment to CFS brigades through sponsorships.

Hosted by Brenton Ragless and officially opened by the Honourable Joe Szakacs MP, the Minister for Police, Emergency, and Correctional Services, the Triple 0 Charity Ball promises an unforgettable evening filled with gratitude, appreciation, and support for our emergency service heroes.
