Truffle Brie Is Back For One Weekend Only So Don’t Miss Out!

It’s that time of the year again…TRUFFLE BRIE!!!! Would you like one??

It’s that time of the year again…TRUFFLE BRIE!!!! Would you like one??

The clever crew over at Udder Delights have been ripening up their oozy Udder Delights Adelaide Hills Double Cream Brie so that they can smother it in Western Australian black truffle to create an exquisite and decadent cheese experience for their customers.

From personal experience, we urge you to consider buying two! Two you ask? Yes, as you’ll want one all to yourself, then you’ll want to share one with your friends just to show them how good it is – or you may just decide to have it yourself all over again! (A closet cheese addict – don’t worry, we understand).

Udder Delights recommend you eat your Truffle Brie within 2 weeks – the longer you leave it the stronger and riper it will get.

To get the most out of your eating experience ensure that the Truffle Brie is at room temperature. At least 2 hours is good. If you can’t wait, warm it in the microwave for 15 seconds – while not ideal, it would be better than serving it cold.

It’s important to serve plain foods that will not overpower the truffle. We recommend plain crackers, or warm crusty bread.

Udder Delights are also selling Saucisson in their cellar door – a French style salami that grows white mould just like a Brie. This would be an amazing accompaniment with the bread and Truffle Brie; and according to the Udder Delights team, it’s the most delicious small good they’ve ever tried! A very big call – we know!

For a wine match, you can’t go past a smooth medium bodied red wine grown right here in the Adelaide Hills. A Pinot Noir can certainly do the trick.

Each 200g round of Double Cream Truffle Brie is $19. You can order as many as you like.

Orders need to be placed and paid for by Sunday 13th August. You can ring them through to the Udder Delights cellar on 08 8388 1588 or you can email them to [email protected] – they can take credit card or direct debit. You can also email Sheree if you’d like direct debit details.

They can be picked up over the weekend of Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th of August at the Udder Delights Cheese Cellar (91a Main St, Hahndorf). They are open from 9am – 5pm.

You could make it a completely culinary weekend and indulge in a molten lava cheesy fondue while you’re there!
