Festival fun is set to continue in the city centre with the launch of Cellar Door Fest Distillery Edit, debuting 8 – 9 April at the Adelaide Convention Centre.

This NEW event will shine a spotlight on SA’s vibrant distillery scene, bringing more than 40 of SA’s hottest distilleries under one roof for two days of delicious fun.

Think gin, vodka, whisky, rum and more, and even catch a glimpse of unique alternative spirits.

‘Distillery Edit’ will shine a spotlight on producers from across the State, with some travelling from as far away as the Eyre Peninsula (E.P. Spirits), Riverland (23rd Street Distillery) and Limestone Coast (St Mary’s Spirits).

Festival Director, Alex Bradford, said that Distillery Edit will showcase 45 different local brands.

“The Cellar Door Fest portfolio of events proudly champions the ‘eat, drink, support local message’ and that is certainly true for Cellar Door Fest Distillery Edit.

“We introduced the ‘Distillery District’ to our summer festival a few years ago in response to consumer demand. Each year this feature has grown more and more in popularity. This combined with the incredible growth of SA’s craft distillery scene encouraged us to launch Distillery Edit which is exclusively focused on this segment of the market.”

For those familiar with the Cellar Door Fest events, entry to Distillery Edit includes a Riedel stemless glass for complimentary tastings.

Festivalgoers will have an opportunity to sample popular drops from well known brands like Threefold Distilling, Prohibition, Never Never and more, as well as discover the mysterious Spirit of the Stag.

Unique to Distillery Edit, those looking to take a break from their tasting journey can purchase a cheeky cocktail from the Fever-Tree Cocktail Bar (Fever-Tree is the event’s major sponsor).

With a cocktail menu that shines a spotlight on a rotating roster of different local distillers, you’ll find speciality drinks like the St Mary’s Rosey Mule, Storytellers Distillery Declared Hotspot and Mad Monkey Distillery’s Dark n Stormy, to name just a few.

We all know that no festival is complete without food- at Distillery Edit,, some of Adelaide’s favourite food trucks, including Uz Gözleme and pop-up gourmet bagelry, Pearla Tuck Shop, will provide delicious eats to help fuel your tasting journey.

Festivalgoers will also be able to enhance their experience by taking part in a series of educational and delicious masterclasses, including everything from ‘Whisky Business: The Ultimate Whisky Quiz’ to ‘Making Sense of Seven Seasons’.

Also on offer across the weekend are the ‘Bootlegger’s Guide to Prohibition’, ‘Cocktail Hour with Threefold Distilling’ and Fever-Tree’s ‘The Gin to Your Tonic’ – a session offering insider tips & tricks to help elevate your next G&T!

So you’ll be leaving with a full belly and new knowledge. Good times ahead!
