Try the best of Shiki with its new curated feast and sake tasting experiences

Shiki introduces two exciting new menu experiences offering guests an immersive journey into Japanese cuisine.

Have you been looking for a different kind of dining experience in Adelaide? Look no further than Shiki, a world-class Japanese restaurant that is introducing two exciting dining experiences.

Over the years this teppanyaki restaurant has become known for its exquisite food and entertaining dining experience. By cooking traditional flavours right in front of you, Shiki has always been a one-of-a-kind spot to spend special occasions and celebrations.

Shiki’s new offerings are designed to celebrate the best of what the Japanese restaurant has to offer. Whether it’s a mid-week treat or a weekend indulgence, these new additions are the perfect excuse to gather colleagues, friends, or family and explore an immersive experience of Japanese flavours.

Heroes of Shiki is an ultimate greatest-hits feast, with a menu that brings together the restaurant’s most-loved dishes in one curated experience.

For just $69 per person (or $89 with a 150ml serving of house sake), enjoy a four-course meal featuring Shiki’s most celebrated dishes.

Diners can start with two entrée selections from a diverse lineup, including:

  • Salmon Sashimi
  • Takoyaki
  • Mixed Tempura
  • Kara-age Chicken
  • Wakame Salad

For the main course, guests can choose one dish, which is served with miso soup:

  • Chicken Katsu-don
  • Tempura-don
  • Chicken & Seasonal Udon

To round out the meal, guests can enjoy a refreshing sorbet with seasonal fruits.

For those looking to explore the world of sake, the Sake Flight is another exciting new addition at Shiki. Priced at $35 per flight, it features four 30ml sake tastings, each paired with a small chef’s sampler item.

Curated for both seasoned sake enthusiasts and newcomers, this tasting experience allows guests to discover different styles of sake, ranging from light and floral to bold and complex. The four selected varieties include:

  • Junmai
  • Ginjo
  • Daiginjo
  • Nigori (Cloudy) Sake

What makes this experience even more unique is the inclusion of sake-tasting notes presented on traditional scrolls, each featuring a haiku. This playful nod to Japanese culture makes the tasting not just about flavours but also about storytelling. The scrolls provide tasting notes and recommended pairings to guide guests through the experience.

Rene Bennett, InterContinental Adelaide’s Director of Food and Beverage shared, “We are always wanting to find ways to supplement our curated signature Shiki dining experiences by offering guests the chance to experience the multiple facets of Japanese culinary offerings in a welcoming environment.

“With so many nuances to Japanese cuisine, our goal is to allow those that want to be more adventurous, the opportunity to do so through experiential offerings such as these.”

Shiki’s focus on freshness and quality ingredients remains at the core of these new menu additions. Whether you’re looking to indulge in a greatest-hits feast or embark on a sake adventure, these latest offerings make for an exciting reason to visit.

Perfect for a mid-week dinner, solo date, or a weekend treat, the Heroes of Shiki and Sake Flight are available now at Shiki. Located on North Terrace, book a table or swing past to try them for yourself.
