“Face to face classes are in a dedicated flower studio which simulates a flower shop from the fridges, workstations, wet area that enhances creativity.”

With the demand for professional florists with a formal education increasing as the market grows and diversifies, graduates from the TAFE SA floristry course find opportunities in retail floristry shops, event and wedding companies, and as freelancers creating bespoke arrangements for various occasions.

“There are many outcomes, and each student has their own individual goal which we assist throughout their qualification,” Lisa said.

“Ranging from starting their own business, working for their favourite florist or combining their learnt skills with other industries.”

“After becoming a mother, I decided I wanted to move into a career that was creative and gave me the freedom to work when I wanted,” floristry graduate Grace said.
