Today is World Cocktail Day, and to celebrate, Twenty Third Street Distillery has created a delicious (and easy!) Violet Gin Sour recipe.
The gin-based cocktail recipe is made with Twenty Third Street’s Violet Gin, which recently won Best Coloured Gin at Dan Murphy’s inaugural Decoded Spirits Awards.
The recipe is perfect for people looking for a quick-and-easy sip to enjoy in the comfort of their own home. All you will need is an egg, sugar syrup, a lemon, bitters for a garnish, and a cocktail shaker to bring it all together.
60 mL Twenty Third Street Distillery Violet Gin
1 egg white
15 mL sugar syrup
Juice of half a lemon + slice of rind
Bitters to garnish
Pour all ingredients into a shaker and shake.
Add in a handful of ice and shake again.
Pour into a glass and garnish with a few dashes of bitters and lemon rind.
