The Twilight Food Affair which showcases the best food and wine from the Fleurieu region is back!
The annual college fundraiser, hosted by Tatachilla Lutheran College, promises an evening of great food, live entertainment, and community spirit under the stars.

Following the success of previous years, this year’s affair is set to be the biggest yet, with an array of food trucks offering a global gastronomic experience, live music performances, and a spectacular seven-minute fireworks display.
“We are so excited to be hosting the Twilight Food Affair again on college grounds,” says Tatachilla
Lutheran College Acting Principal, Mrs Alison Thacker.
“Last year the event made its post-COVID comeback and attracted the biggest crowd we have ever
seen in the history of the Twilight Food Affair.
“The event is open to everybody and has been designed to celebrate community and the important
role of togetherness in the lives of our children,” Mrs Thacker says.
Held on Friday, March 22, from 4:30pm until 9pm, the Twilight Food Affair has become a beloved tradition in McLaren Vale. Last year drew a record crowd of over 5,000 attendees, with an even bigger crowd expected this year to enjoy the festive atmosphere before the arrival of winter.

One of the main attractions of the Twilight Food Affair is its diverse range of food. From traditional Australian bush food to international cuisines, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Food trucks such as Carlito’s Paella, Chimichurri Grill, El Guaco Taco, and Van Coota will be serving up mouthwatering dishes from Italy, Greece, Mexico, Argentina, and beyond.
And for those with a sweet tooth, options like Chocolique’s Belgian hot chocolate, Hokey Pokey’s artisan ice creams, and Fairy Floss Galore’s sugary delights will be winners.
Talented performers will take the stage throughout the evening. Adelaide singing sensation Trav Collins will make his Twilight debut, promising an unforgettable performance for guests of all ages. With four hours of live musical entertainment, there’ll be no shortage of toe-tapping tunes.

There will also be plenty of activities for family-friendly fun, from carnival rides, snow cones, and sweet treats for the children, while parents can unwind with a glass of wine or beer from the expanded pop-up bar.
“Our pop-up bar has been doubled in size so that queues are shorter and more mums and dads
have the opportunity to sample the stellar range of local wines and beers that have been donated by
our most beloved cellar doors and breweries in McLaren Vale,” Mrs Thacker says.
The event organisers have also increased the number of food trucks and the size of the bar to accommodate the growing crowds as the festival grows.
More than just a fundraiser for Tatachilla Lutheran College, the Twilight Food Affair is a celebration of community spirit. With entry by gold coin donation, all funds raised go towards enhancing teaching and learning experiences for students.
To make the most of the Twilight Food Affair, families are encouraged to arrive early to avoid queues and secure a prime spot for picnicking.
Parking is available on-site, and attendees are reminded to adhere to the college’s policies regarding alcohol and glassware. Tables and chairs will be provided, but guests are welcome to bring their own seating for added comfort.
“This event began as ‘Farm Day’ 27 years ago, only two years after Tatachilla Lutheran College was
founded, during the era of cake stalls and trading tables,” says Mrs Thacker.
“We have watched with joy and pride as this event has grown and evolved into a major celebration of
food and family over the course of almost three decades.
“The Twilight Food Affair is now the largest and most anticipated event in the college calendar.”
